Its not really that simple on the road, they’ll probably shoot 20 more free throws than we do.
you aren't wrong SoG but I thought we'd lose to Aub before we'd lose to Tenn. I think we match up better with Tenn. I may regret this post.
They can struggle on offense too.
anyone go to aub game, how many Ala fans were there?
We'll have way more at Tenn. There were still tix available not long ago.

I think we will win don't get me wrong but we will have to overcome them getting spotted 10 to 15 points due to the free throw discrepancy.

I'm curious where we'd rank against Houston is the Oklahoma beating was less severe.
I know you're just talking about efficiency metrics, but I do find it pretty interesting that there's a big "but Oklahoma" narrative around us in the media when talking about best teams in the country, but not a fricking peep about "but Temple" when talking about Houston in that same discussion. I mean yeah we shite the bed in that game for sure and there's no escaping that fact, but it's just weird to me how we're the only team at the top who seemingly isn't getting a pass for playing a shite game against a mediocre opponent.

Because Temple won 56-55 compared to Alabama being ran out of the gym at OU. It was the biggest margin of defeat by a top 5 team to an unranked opponent. It was incredibly ugly and hard to forget for unbiased observers. OU was up by 30 at one point. LOL.

True, and Houston's loss was a quad 3 loss, Oklahoma was a quad 2 loss.

After this weekend's games I am more convinced than ever that we are the best team in the country.

Wasn’t OK a quad 1 loss? Thought they were higher than 75 in Net still although trending toward a Q2.
Edit: see they just dropped to 76. Hoping they can find a way to get back to 75 or better, but they’ve been bad lately.

I went to the game. I didn't see too many Bama fans there. We did see FunnyMane after the game!! There were many, many more AU fans at last season's game in Tuscaloosa than there were Bama fans yesterday in Auburn!! Price of tickets was insane.

That OK loss was an awesome loss. Our guys learned at a good time that they are NOT invincible, and had better bring their game every game.

But it was one point loss and not a complete blowout.
In addition, OU sucks badly. They’ve been blown out in every game since.

Temple is worse than Oklahoma, and since we’re comparing our losses to Houston’s, we are one of their losses, so….
Posted on 2/12/23 at 9:44 pm to TS1926
Oklahoma hasn't even won a game since beating us, so I understand if a voter doesn't place us 1st.
It was a valuable loss because Alabama kinda needed a reality check at that time but resume wise, it was an extremely ugly loss and there isn't really a way to sugarcoat it to a neutral viewer.
It'd be nice to get the top spot but I'm not really expecting it but if we win at Tennessee then the conversation should be a bit more serious.

Any guesses on the spread Wednesday? Tennessee -1 or -2? I figure we will be a small dog.

I don't think Alabama needed a reality check shoot I just think that's what you get playing a lot of Freshman. You got to bring it every game no matter the opponent.
It was very beneficial to have a loss like that though.
We was their National Championship game and they hit every shot.
My question to anybody on the forum...
Do you think Oklahoma would of beaten us in Tuscaloosa?
Temple beat Houston...in Houston!! That's a terrible loss
Either way it go we might be number 1 soon if we just keep winning.

ESPN power rankings:
1. Alabama Crimson Tide (22-3)
Previous ranking: 2
This week: at Tennessee (Wednesday), vs. Georgia (Saturday)
Nate Oats has received remarkable production all season from his freshman class, and is now getting a boost from yet another 2022 recruit. Rylan Griffen led the team in scoring on Saturday against Auburn, scoring 16 off the bench, making three of his five attempts from 3-point range. It's the fourth time in his last five games he's scored at least 12 points, a mark he hit just three times in the first 20 games of the season. Over that five-game stretch, he's shooting 54.2% from behind the arc -- after shooting 28.8% from 3 in his first 20 games.
