What's crazier, two things I've seen posted today on their forums:
1) Aub fans think they got hosed again on the officiating yesterday. That baffles me. They held like Memphis in the first half. Amazing.
2) LSU fans have the nerve to say "I can't believe LSU fired Wade when there was no proof." What? There was a recording.

I honestly can't decide which is more insane.

I think the media has a hard on for Houston regardless of them losing to Bama at home. I think they’ll be #1.

Yeah, Houston will be #1. We will get votes from the people who realize it's stupid for Houston to be #1 over a team with a better resumé who beat them in their building, but a huge segment of voters has decided that Houston is simply head and shoulders above everyone else, results be damned.

Hard not to after beating an 5-18 Tulsa this past Wednesday and then getting a 9-16 SMU later this week.

People don’t wanna acknowledge how good we are because we are a “Football school” so no way we could be this good in basketball

The Ap just like in football usually goes mostly by record, Houston has one less loss than us. They were ranked above us last week and didnt lose.

If Tennessee hadn’t crapped the bed the past couple weeks I’d say we would have a good chance to jump Houston with a win this week, but I think their recent losses make that not as big of a win as it would have been at the beginning of the month.

Idk it might. We are projected by about everyone as a higher seed than Houston and thats really all that matters. It would be cool to be ranked number 1 in the AP but its pretty meaningless in basketball.

I don't know, if we beat Tennessee the Vols will probably jump to #1 in the NET rankings, which would be big on the resume.

Let me break this down one more time just for kicks. We are beating Tennessee. Why? We are better than they are.

It’s been a kick arse season, but it’s getting close to time where that will not matter.

Being in the top 4 is kind of like being #1.

Its not really that simple on the road, they’ll probably shoot 20 more free throws than we do.

I'm curious where we'd rank against Houston is the Oklahoma beating was less severe. But it still wouldn't make up the huge gap between us and Houston. I think they underemphasize strength of schedule. Let us play LSU and South Carolina damn near every conference game, and of course you'd have a super high efficiency.
