They should burn the tape of that game lol.

Except Oats. The team definitely needs to watch that film several times, to get ready for the next defense that use the same zone strategies that Miss St uses. Their 1-3-1 can lead to a lot of open 3s. Of course, you've still got to make them.

But you have to move the ball around better than we did against MSU and for a time during the Mizzou game.

Jaden Bradley doesn't have the incredible handle nor is he a shooter or crafty finisher like JQ but JB is a bigger guard who's SMARTER than all our guards. He has old school guard skills!!

He reminds me a lot of Chris Paul, except Paul was a much better 3 shooter in college. Hopefully Bradley puts in the work during the off-season to improve his shot. He's got a very long wind up before he lets it fly. Nothing that can't be improved upon.

Does Oats still do the army boot camp thing? These guys are mentally tough.

I know they did it 2 years ago, but not sure about this year. But going by the results proved last season, it didn't work. It produced like the basketball equivalent of a Russian conscript boot camp.

I'm so not concerned about Bradley. Guy has a few rough games and it's worry-city? Nah man. Dude has a great handle, doesn't rush things, get's to the hole, draws contact.

He's got around 10 total games played if you look at his combined minutes. Let him grow, other opposing players are good too.

As a fellow Bama would you rather win the SEC regular season and have a 1 see sewed up or not win the regular season but win the SEC tourny.

In other words you can only win one this year

Also it does not appear we are getting any better at in bouncs where it is coming from the baseline. Unreal last night.

Whichever gives us a 1 seed. I think it’s a better indication of your teams quality winning the conference title than the Tourney IMO.

Easily regular season. That means we probably lost 3 or fewer games from here

We really need Sears to get going. What struck me looking at his stats when he transferred was how slump resistant he was last season. Pretty much 1-3, 2-5 or 2-4 every single game.

Could just be the difference in the athleticism and length of the SEC compared to the MAC.

Give Credit to the Man Who Aimed to Make Alabama a Basketball School: All Things CW(SI)

Between Nick Saban, Nate Oats and Greg Byrne, Alabama Athletics may have a three-man band that will be talked about for decades. Give Credit to the Man Who Aimed to Make Alabama a Basketball School: All Things CW

Consider Saban, Oats and Byrne to be the university's version of the triangle offense in basketball, or the best three-man band since Rush (or Nirvana if you're so inclined). Alabama should do anything and everything it can to keep them together for as long as possible.

Only thing comparable to me could be a discussion of what would you rather:
1. Win the regular season only.
2. Finish 2nd in the regular season and win the conference tournament.

Yeah, I'm not worried about Bradley either. He needs to learn better how to attack the zone traps--you could see Oats pointing out stuff to him about it every time he came out.

We also have so much depth of guards that are better zone busters from the arc than he is right now that he certainly has time to figure it out.

JQ is the shiftiest guard breaking down defenders but Bradley can get by defenders too. I've been very impressed by his finishing in traffic/against bigs.

winning the regular season means you are probably ranked in top 4 and will not lose that 1 see if you lose early in the sec championship. We have seen it happen before and the players go home early and rest up. To win the SEC regular season means we most likely have beaten UT and AU and have probably only lost one SEC game. Beaten both UT and AU would be huge to the net rankings or whatever they are being called.

The only clip I’ve found this far (and it’s just a snippet) of the intro video last night. I think it caught the crowd completely off guard - I thought it was hilarious
