Just saw the stats and had only 12 TO's which was good considering how many we had in the first half. Pretty good bench scoring from 5 and 23.

3 starters had 8 combined points which is pitiful. Not sure why coach hasnt looked at changing the starters. JQ should be in the starting rotation and sears moved to the off guard. He had 11 in the rotation last night with Burnett only getting a minute.

Bradley doesnt even try an outside shot. Zero chance of him playing in the nba without a great outside shot. The teams we play have the book on him now. They back off on him.

He's gonna be a 2-3 year player here. Has plenty of time to get his shot figured out (JQ was not considered a good outside shooter in HS or at Villanova). He is a very good free throw shooter, which is considered by most to be a sign if a guy should be a good 3PT shooter or not, and he will be working with a program that has proven to be able to improve shooting for guys.

I don't have any concerns with it moving forward. I do have concerns with it this season, though, because teams are just going under screens and (a) hes reacting badly and (b) it's completely disputing the offense.

Because it had been our best overall lineup in the previous 19 games. One mediocre performance against a very, very good defensive team where we still won the game is not justification for making any major changes.

Plus they like the dynamic they have with JQ coming off the bench 3-4 minutes in and being a starter doesn't mean you have to play 20 minutes or anything. Starters don't always finish the game (see last night).

We’ve won 9 games in a row, we’re 8-0 in the SEC, and have been the best team in the country this whole month. Folks will bitch about anything.

I’ll say this. I love the fact that our complaining on here has turned more nitpicky than in previous 2-3 years. Our inability to finish at the rim, everyone missing all the free throws when it counted, getting abused on the boards, struggling to inbound (well, we still struggle here) and everything else that made my blood pressure go up. This is a fun team to watch. I’m glad we’re along for the ride.

This year has been a blast to watch so far. The only game when I was genuinely pissed was the UCONN game, when I thought this was the same product we’ve been fed over the past few years. I think we grew up a ton at the UNC game. We didn’t play a lick of defense against Gonzaga, but the offensive show that Miller put on that night was something to see. Both games against MSU were slugfests that we would have lost 95% of the time under Grant and Johnson.

If we lose on Saturday at OU. I’m going to melt down though and I’m never going to another Bama basketball game again. I’m 0-3. Y’all can blame it on me.

I literally saw somebody on tRant, maybe in the game thread, say "I still think we try to shoot too many 3 pointers" last night

All it took was a close game for some folks to pull out the old material again.

I did not say bench them but a starter is a reward and there are some roll players who appears to have earned to start.

Because we’re 18-2 and haven’t lost in conference, beating every SEC by double digits. Why mess with that?

Burnett will likely enter the starting lineup when he’s healthy since he’s our best perimeter defender.

Why? Not every McDonalds All American is Brandon Miller (most aren't).

Chris Livingston at Kentucky was a MAA last year. Jordan Walsh at Kentucky was a MAA last year.

Big Charles got abused inside by MSU's bigs who seemed to be quicker and stronger, more mobile than him.

Pringle and Clowney are better options against teams like that, Bediako needs another year to get stronger and pick up a couple of offensive moves.

Bradley does the ole mental double clutch. He doesn't believe he can make the shot so he hesitates, and at that point it's too late. You can see it happening when he gets a wide open look. He always pauses, considers it, and then takes the shot because he knows Oats will chew his arse if he doesn't. His shot isn't broken. He just needs to be more willing to let it fly.

Charles has just been awful in general since the Miles thing. He was downright horrid last night on both ends.

exactly, can't make emotional decisions after 1 game. We have won 9 in a row.

Double digit win streak over.
20-2 still alive!!
avg margin of victory over last 9 almost 19ppg

Dont they only take around 24. So his HS stats must have been lights out. Not saying he did not deserve as I dont keep up with AAU or HS kids.

This is why I'm not posting during games anymore. It just gets too stupid.

He was a highly recruited Top 30 high school player at IMG. He's been good this season for the most part, just has some freshman stuff to work through.

He brings the ball down way too much in traffic, and has missed a lot of dunks/layups in SEC play. He plays like a 7 footer on defense and a 6 footer on offense.

The bringing the ball down thing makes me irrationally angry
