If Houston loses (I highly doubt it), we’re #2 tomorrow morning. That’s crazy to think about.

As far as the race for a 1-seed, I guess we’d like Houston to drop a game or 2

Starting to look like a possibility.

While it'd be cool to make a run at a #1 ranking I think I'd rather have "only team to beat Houston" on our resume.

You think we possibly jump to number 1 assuming Houston loses.

They are playing badly at the moment. Forcing shots, bad shot selection, jacking up threes off the dribble and not in good rhythm. If they keep playing like they have been this half, they're gonna lose.

This. And the committee has shown to to pretty heavily favor SOS, so with our head to head win I think we’d be ahead of them.

Their best player has four fouls and they aren’t playing very well on defense.

And forcing bad passes into traffic in the paint.

Yeah, but they didn't partly because that last 30+ seconds they were horribly coached. 11 seconds on the shot clock coming out of a TO, and all they could get was that bad 3 point attempt at the buzzer. Then running 20 seconds off the clock without trying to foul. And the shot selection at the end was atrocious.

Even if our ranking doesn’t show #1 tomorrow, I feel like I’ll be watching the best team in the country in person Wednesday night in the hostile confines of The Hangar.

Probably less than 1000 tix left for MSU game. Most are in the top 5 rows/corners. The games being spread out right now at home probably work in the favor of folks showing up.

While we want our SOS to be strong, it only makes sense to root for teams above you to lose, regardless if you’ve played them. I’m hoping Memphis beats Houston at least one of the times they play them. Once there is enough separation that it’s clear they can’t pass us if we lose 2 more games (e.g. UConn), then you no longer want them to lose (although I would have preferred UH to have lost 2-3 road games so we would have been their only home loss).
