On a side note, Delaney Heard has a good looking shot and looks good handling the basketball. I may be reaching but I think he’d be more effective for us in the second group pg than Jaden Bradley.

Their bigs played pretty well. Our guys can’t get into early foul trouble with them. As a team of we match their toughness we should be fine.

Because Auburn getting to play in front of a home crowd wasn't reward enough for a disappointing season. Can't wait til they play Drake in the S16 for the right to take on Kennesaw State for a trip to the FF.

Most bet on teams by percentage of money at @betmgm to win the title:

1. Alabama -- 14.2%
2. Kansas -- 10.7%
3. Houston -- 9.9%
4. Texas -- 7%
5. UCLA -- 6.8%

(Arizona was 5.1%)

It would be tough, especially in Neville Arena, where the game would get moved due to the first recorded late March hurricane hitting the Houston area.

This seems too good to be true, so congrats to Tennessee on the weekend because to me that -2.5 is a lock.

To be fair, we are one upset today away from the 2, 3, and 4 seeds in our region being eliminated

That post of the hard hat being given on Twitter then had some just ignorant, smart arse, behind the computer, pussy comments!! Just infuriating!

Don't take this the wrong way. But if you're surprised and that easily baited by a Twitter reply, I'd recommend staying away from the SEC Rant. It's worse. Hell, the old al.com comment sections were equally toxic. No matter what, you gotta have thick skin on the internet. Especially with the Miller situation and mad we're great at basketball too.

The bracket opening up for a 1 seed isn't unheard of. A 9 seed getting to play a virtual home game against the 8 seed and then again against a hobbled 1 seed is something that should never happen.

I get it it’s annoying. But the Auburn-Houston game is a win-win. Auburn losing is always hilarious. If Houston loses we suddenly become the runaway favorites to win the National Championship

Welcome to the internet. That’s been commonplace, maybe even more these days I guess, since the dawn of internet message boards

How far will Auburn get is the question ? We saw their magical run to the Final Four several years ago. Who on their side will beat them ? UCLA is my best guess. UConn would as well.

So not only does Auburn get both games in Birmingham as a 9-seed, they also get the better time slot over the number 1 overall seed in both games. Talk about some absolute horseshite.

Outside of the one time a 16-seed has beaten the one-seed, this is the easiest path to a Sweet 16 ever for an 8/9 seed. An already unproven one-seed with their All-american hurt playing what is essentially a road game against the 9-seed.
