Outscored by 14 in the 4th quarter by a team on a 7 game losing streak. Had a 10 pt lead in the 3rd.

The way they’ve closed really is pitiful with a veteran team.

I take the blame. I jinxed the hell out of them. Ever since I complimented Curry and said they were a Lock for the NCAAt….they haven’t won since

Do you think they practiced today after last night? just watched film?

Yes they practiced. I think how it goes is if we have a Saturday/Tuesday combo they get Wednesday off and if we have a Saturday/Wednesday combo they get Sunday off

Can we note that 2 straight games the other team threw some defensive wrinkles at us that really stifled what we did for a half. We came out in the 2nd half armed with adjustments and blew the doors off 2 Top 25 defenses.........and we couldn't buy a 3 pointer in either game.

Arkansas (#11 defense)
1st half - 28 pts (45% 2pt, 10% 3pt)
2nd half - 58 pts (68% 2pt, 14% 3pt)

Auburn (#22 defense)
1st half - 33 pts (53% 2pt, 23% 3pt)
2nd half/OT - 57 pts (65% 2pt, 28% 3pt)

Even when we're in a slump, teams still respect it ability to hit 3s (though I've seen them back off some guys). Eventually fatigue sets in or is the halftime adjustments, but eventually we start getting to the rim and hurting them for it. Let the myth ride. It'll only help us in the tournament.

I've noticed Jon Rothstein has stopped his Nate Oats My Cousin Vinny tweet after wins the past few games. Still does slogans for other coaches but not Oats. Oh and he hasn't stopped selling the Nate Oats t-shirt on his site though. If you're going to be a coward and bow to the mob how about you don't profit off the merch either.

He’s a goofball and probably doesn’t want the toxicity in his comments. I bet he’s been pretty fair on his podcast regarding the whole situation

I know for a fact he tweeted about Quinerly’s performance Wednesday night

Curious as to which ball will be used in the SECT? Based on our last two home games, with Nike, the shooting percentage difference has dropped a lot.

Looks like Kentucky will have a walk into the semis.

That's a very good and deep roster (especially if Bradley/Griffen/Clowney take steps forward), but probably not #1 or even top 5 nationally

If Clowney has anything close to a McDyess tournament run, he's gone for sure. Might be gone anyway. I think it would benefit him to come back if he's not a top 15 lock.

Regardless, we need to be active in the transfer market.

How in the hell is Tennessee still at 3? They are 10-8 in Q1 and Q2 overall. The fact that they are at 3 while Kansas is at 6 tells me the NET is a joke.

I know we aren't there yet, but I have a suspicion that we will see Memphis in an 8/9 game in Birmingham for a rematch. They've won 11 of their last 13 and play Houston at home Sunday. They lost at Houston by 8 the other day. A win Sunday or a good conference tournament probably moves them to a higher 8 in Birmingham. Davis is a player and a guy I liked in the transfer market last offseason. Would be a tough second round match up for us.

They'll use the Wilson EVO NXT (same ball as NCAA tournament). We haven't shot well with that one either (@ Auburn, @ South Carolina, @ Miss St) but it'll be good to get acclimated to it.

Efficiency metrics. Basically they smothered the hell out of all the early season Q4 and Q3 teams they played, which has kept their defensive metrics so high that it doesn't really matter how many close games they lose at this point.

Wins over Kansas, Texas and Alabama help as well.

It is pretty impressive that the SEC has 2 of the top 3 teams in the NET. Especially with how often ppl talk about the SEC being down.

Is this still a thing? I feel like this hasn't been a thing for like 5 or 6 years.

Performed poorly in the Big-12 challenge with Alabama laying a turd on the road against a bad team and a bunch of unfavorable matchups that went unfavorably.

But the SEC performed well enough in the OOC schedule to be quite honest.

If you google the phrase, there are a lot of other websites that sell that design with different shirt designs and I'm pretty sure the $$$ doesn't go to Jon. Personally, I'm thinking of picking up a red sweater with the design on it, much better than just a t-shirt.
