Oats used that time to vulture the empty arena covid season, and buy recruiting classes pre-NIL while everybody was concerned with the pandemic, FBI fallout, Kansas, and social justice scamming. Everybody can buy players now, and Bama is fricked
Didn’t Auburn use their self-imposed post-season ban on the Covid year when they weren’t gonna make the postseason regardless? As a school with such integrity, they clearly should have skipped March Madness last year

SECRant seems a lot more quiet this morning. Feels good man.

SEC CHAMPS! No. 2/2 Alabama Clinches Regular Season Title in 90-85 Overtime Victory over Auburn
The Crimson Tide finishes the season a perfect 15-0 to claim its second regular season title in the last three years
Head Coach Nate Oats Postgame Comments
"It was big night tonight for us. In an Alabama-Auburn game, you expect it to be great game. (Auburn head coach) Bruce (Pearl) had his guys ready to go. To be down 17 with just over 10 minutes to go in the game and come back to win, I couldn't be prouder of our guys. That was the second SEC championship we've claimed in three years here. It was especially special tonight to win in front of our fans; they were great tonight. I really want to thank our fans and all their support. They brought the energy that I thought helped fuel our run there in the second half. We achieved a lot this year and we swept our in-state rival, which was a big deal around here. We went undefeated at home and that's not an easy thing to do. We still got things ahead of us that we want to accomplish. Our players have worked hard and I'm super proud of them."

Easier to hit reply, attach the stock statement, and move on with the day.
Oats should answer the AL.com people the same way Marshawn Lynch would answer reporters when he was playing.
Lynch would just say things like, "Thanks for asking", "I'm glad to be here" and stuff like that. That's all he would say to the question.

We got their hopes up, thinking we were gonna lose the last 3 games.
Other than Miller/Bediako, played poorly at SC. Won it in OT.
Down by 9 at the half vs Arky. Shot poorly. Won the game by 3.
Down big, 9 minutes to go vs AU. Won in OT.
The whole country/SEC Rant is 100% against us. However, we keep winning, breaking their spirits/ hearts.

It's true. They are waiting to explode and dance all over Bama if/when Bama loses. I know the odds are against it, but man how I'd love it if they never got that satisfaction this season.
Here's to hoping the shooting slump is getting out the system and Alabama goes on 10 game heater starting Saturday.

Being able to ban a media outlet from a government associated (UA is a public school) press conference is bad and shouldn't happen. They're there to report on what was said at the press conference for the sake of transparency.
Doesn't mean they have a right to ask their questions though, or receive the answers they want. The appropriate response to Goodman is to just continue ignoring him until he stops showing up. His intent isn't to ensure that the public finds out what was said, so if he can't get some click bait headline out of it it's not worth his time.

This has to be great for recruiting

Yes, shouldn't ban someone in the press for being a douche. Sets a really bad precedent. If you think you have a defamation case sue them. Otherwise let him sit there wasting hours of his life with his hand in the air being ignored like the petulant child that he is. It's more funny that way anyway.

The ladies play today - the time TBD. Didn’t read the details but apparently UK and Florida had a brawl that resulted in player ejections In yesterday’s game.

I agree with you but it's because of people like him that Saban has totally closed off the media from viewing the first five minutes of football practice.

I love that they didn't call on him. Even though that happens to reporters all the time, even when they aren't clickbait shitheads. I don't think we can ignore him every time, but after big games where we're celebrating accomplishing a season-long goal? Absolutely. Ice the a-hole who's question is more predictable than tonight's sunset: "Do you think this accomplishment is married by the actions of Brandon Miller?"
The irritating thing to me is a Washington Post journalist tried to paint us as a slimy program because of continuing to play him, when she (and a crap load of other "journalists") is quite literally trying to capitalize on the degradation of an innocent 20-year-old and a young mother who was killed. Talk about "slimy". I respect the crap out of media members and journalists who don't crap on someone the moment the opportunity arises and studies all the facts before handing out judgement. It's so damn rare these days. Miss you, Cecil.

"Brandon Winning the hard hat"
Good, that will piss off the media.
Miller is the best free throw shooter I have ever seen in pressure situations. And his free throws rarely even touch the rim.

A&M may be the game to do it, we've been in a lot of close games lately. An emotional last couple of weeks along with 3 straight comebacks, including a couple games going into OT. You have to wonder how focused they'll be for an 11 am road game when the conference is already clinched. If they lose, people will get their joy from a meaningless game.
