This is a real testament to how dramatically Oats has turned this program around. To achieve, in 4 short years, many of the same things it took nearly a decade for a storied blue blood like Auburn to achieve is truly impressive.

Why would they have him stay on the court for that?

For me, it's no different than a guy shooting a three jumping sideways into a defender just to get the free throws.
The shooter is initiating the contact on a defender that's not in a fouling position.

After Pearl slammed down the headphones and was being escorted towards the locker room some lady asked Pearl for a photo.

Page 1000 and a SEC Champ. That's so hot.

The crazier thing is this is Nate Oats' 8th year as a Head Coach at the D1 level.
So when people compare him to other coaches in the SEC, it's hard to remember sometimes Oats is still learning quite a bit on the job and is continuing to develop himself every year as well. What he's done in such a short amount of time is nothing short of remarkable. He took a team that lived on the bubble for basically the last decade and has turned the program into SEC champs and high seeds in the tournament. You can argue he's the best coach in the conference over guys with triple the experience or more.

Here's a website if anyone wants to play around with SEC seeding outcomes. Basically, need Kentucky to beat Arkansas so we get the winner of Miss St/Florida. If that happens, also get to see an Arkansas vs Auburn first round as well. Could see Auburn dropping to Tennessee (even though they no longer have a PG) and then Arkansas. That would put them NIT bound for sure.

Yep, Fla beating LSU and Ken beating Ark moves Ark out of our Friday tourney game next week. That's what we want for sure.

That’s beautiful. Hang it in the Louvre.

Just got home, what a hell of a comeback. Glad I got to experience that with my son the way I experienced 02 vs. Florida with my dad.
Rewatching the second half now and one thing stands out that I can’t stress enough, and that is frick AUBURN.

the melt on the aub board is impressive
awww was the away crowd mean to your team?
the auburn fans around me were all pretty good sports to be honest.

Gentlemen. frick that shite town and fan base. I could write a book about the things I saw tonight that represent the stereotypical inbred Alabama fans
I listen to chants all game that were frick Auburn, frick Bruce, Bruce is fat, and mixed with the other various vulgar comments from students and fans of all ages
I'm not bitching about the game. I expected we would be run off the court. We are out manned. They are more talented.
Refs didn't help at all. Watching in person was bad with the refs. Not sure if TV did it justice.
Their atmosphere is loud because it's a huge concrete hangar. They have a shitty mic man and dj all game. Can't hear the PA guy. Refused to buy any concessions.
Proud of how our guys fought. Like others said, we knew what we had going in. I thought Bruce was going to get tossed a couple of times. He was livid all game. Rightfully so.
Ready to move on from this year's team and get new guys in.
If any of you have forgotten how to hate Alabama fans and that town, just go to an away game. What a terrible fan base

TIL that Coleman is actually conducive to a hostile environment

Nope, give me Muss and his whiny set of midrange shooting ball hogs with us on extra rest while they’re playing game #2 in back to back days. Chance to cut the overall series lead down to 2 and fully establish that Nate Oats is Muss’s daddy
