We lose Wiggins, his primary recruiter

There's been chatter that even though recruiting sites list Wiggins as the "primary" recruiter, TRob has really been the primary for several weeks. I think everyone in the program (and also recruits) had known Wiggins would be leaving at the end of the year.

Sucks to lose him. He will be good for them. Good luck to him, except if they play Bama.

Bama already has his replacement, a more experienced replacement.

Sadly, college football is no longer an alliance to a school or teammates....it's an individual's business decision

Very True. College football is now worst than Pro as far as being committed to anything. 15 to 20 transfers a year is the norm for MOST teams. NIL and the transfer portal is to blame. It won't get any better, the worms are out of the can.

Wonder if there is any hope that Alabama will make a change at OL coach? I figure it’s unlikely, but I would welcome a change. Both Wolford and Marrone before him have been misses.

With Alabama’s 5-day transfer portal window for undergraduates after the Rose Bowl now closed, the next opportunity for undergraduates to enter the portal will be April 16. Graduates can still enter at any time.

Alabama’s had 15 players enter the transfer portal so far. Last year, it had 13 players enter during the winter window and 3 more during the spring window.

Damn thought he could be a contributor at some point. Wish he, Little and Ferguson would have stayed but oh well - is what it is.

This is one that I feel like we might see next year or the year after and wish he hadn't transferred

Impossible to keep all of the players we bring in. Sometimes they get recruited over. Pope showed promise in the Spring game but got zero real game action that I can remember. That should tell us something.

If it wasn’t Pope it’d be someone else that we’d hate losing. It is what it is.

Gotta get to 85 somehow.

Submitted too soon. Meant to say college is worse than pros now because there are no constraints in college. Pros have contracts, salary caps, etc. Players can’t just jump to another team.

Definately. We are at 88 signed right now. With the possibility of adding 2 more, we would be at 90. Though I didn't take into account which players could be on covid years.
