Watching Washington film, this group is going to love the new offense and coaching staff.

Eric Wolford going back to Kentucky. Always a worry that some of his guys want to follow. But hopefully we slowed the leak until after spring.

I think they know they underperformed consistently. I would think they would want better coaching moreso than being confortable with a position coach. Plus I think it's too late to enroll without the university having to change it, and I don't think they will this late in the semester.

I think that's also why very few Michigan players have entered the portal. I think this will really change after spring practice.

Coach needs to get out past the break, keep his body forward on the board, and kick more to ride that wave in.

That’s actually pretty awesome. Man deserves all the fun he can have after years of stress.

According to Kristen it’s not a new video. It’s from a few years back.
One can hope he is out there still doing this.

Good to hear regarding Dylan Lonergan and baseball

Staff as currently known is as follows.

Offense:
-Ryan Grubb, OC/QB
-Scott Huff, OL
-JaMarcus Shephard, WR
-Nick Sheridan, TE
-Robert Gillespie, RB

Defense:
-Kane Wommack, DC
-Freddie Roach, DL & assistant HC
-Maurice Linguist, co-DC/cornerbacks
-Colin Hitschler, co-DC/safeties

Carlton mentioned:
-Wommack will also coach LB's; and
-William Inge will most likely become Bama's 10th on-field coach. I'm wondering if Inge splits LB duties with Wommack, he could serve as special teams coordinator, a role he's held before.

What I did not know was that when DeBoer was OC at Indiana:
1. Inge was special teams coordinator;
2. Sheridan was QB coach;
3. It was Sheridan who recruited Michael Penix jr.

Looks like a fine staff to me. Perhaps Wommack's the only wild card for me as I'm not familiar with him. Super young guy (36) who was a Broyles Award finalist as Indiana's DC back in 2020.

Sheridan played QB for Michigan and served as a QB coach/passing game coordinator early in his career

Huff played center, Grubb and DeBoer both played WR

What is the hold up on Inge? I realize no one has officially been announced but all other assistants have been confirmed to have arrived and recruiting.

Dunno, but your point is exactly what I'm wondering about. Carlton posted this about Inge earlier:

Dealing with UW holding ul coaches departing have been a mess.
, but I'm not sure what that means.

I would imagine Wommack will help in building the relationships with the Mobile and Gulf Coast area Hs coaches since he’s coming from South

I was actually pretty happy to see that hire. Should be a lot of good talent out of that area the next few cycles

So, Wommack is from the South, while Colin Hitschler is not from the South, but did work for 4 years at South Alabama...

Where you’re from is overrated. A recruiter is a recruiter.
