There has never been a more fitting marriage between program and coach than Auburn football and Hugh Freeze.

Except the equally fitting one between Auburn hoops and Pearl.

Notice the consistency there…..

Why am I just now realizing that Alabama plays 5 straight former SEC East teams to open the season. Throw in OU and Alabama is only playing two of the West teams that they used to play each year.

Pearl and Freeze both attended the Urban Meyer School of Moral and Ethical Flexibility. Seriously, I find it hilarious how Auburn fans/alums love to brag about how as Auburn fans/alums that they are morally, ethically and spiritually superior to other fan bases (especially Alabama fans).

They honest to God believe this and yet have contorted themselves into ethical origame and hired two of the biggest scumbags in all of college athletics.

Historically, the two best from the West, along with the three best from the East. The only apparent break is OU rather than UTx. That is only because Bama played UTx the previous two years. Of the “real” contenders (Bama, UGA, UTn, UTx) and the “faux” contenders (Mo, OM, LSU), only UGA plays a tougher schedule. Of course, the faux contenders may be replaced by OU or/and A&M. IMO, the real contenders are pretty solid.

Add to that I think he's only had one bad snap in all 4 games. Unlike someone else who shall remain nameless.

pregame

Anybody else desperately miss the majors high stepping out to mid field? It always looked so awesome and got me hyped. I hate the current pregame nonsense with the guy chanting "ALA" <====> "BAMA", that replaced the old pregame ceremony.

I'm 37, not a boomer, fwiw.

Only noteworthy thing I can think of was the fact his helmet kept popping off during games. Up until UGA, he had his helmet come off in all 3 previous games.

He has a tiny head I guess
