Roll Tide Willie is alright when he’s just drinking beer and talking about Alabama in the back yard. I think appearing on something like that stream gets him totally out of his element.

Genuinely don't understand why this guy is popular. There are lots of drunk rednecks that love Alabama football. Why does Willie get to hang with the team and represent the fanbase?

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't want a cross-eyed alcoholic dimwit as the representative of our fanbase.

Does it matter? Every fanbase views us as that even before Willie came into life

Which is ironic considering I guarantee you LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, OU, Texas and Arkansas have far more redneck fans than we do. Auburn has a frick ton too - far more than their sanctimonious fans online like you to believe. And the only positive about Auburn being a major in state power is they take a good portion of the would be Crimson Tide rednecks away.

I know for a fact Georgia, the Viles and LSU has more after having lived in those three states. That's why I chuckle when one of their degenerates comments about "Alabama rednecks" online. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

Has anyone seen rumors he left because he was arrested again two months ago? Same charges he faced in Florida. How would that have went under the radar?

I’ve met rednecks in upstate NY around Thomas Cove area that would make rednecks in Alabama look like Rhode Scholars

That’s the truth! I lived for 10 years DEEP behind enemy lines in Farragut, TN. I can say without a doubt they have far more rednecks wearing orange than I have ever seen wearing Crimson!

My sons and I flew into Pittsburg for the 2011 Bama game at Penn State and rented a car and drove across the state to the Penn State campus. We saw more Confederate flags in yards and as front tags on trucks and cars than we ever saw in Alabama - it was really surprising.

Pennsyltucky doesn't explain it fully either as Kentucky never seceded.

I lived outside of Atlanta (Carrollton) for 8 years and would routinely hear UGA fans talking crap about the state of Alabama and how we're all rednecks and then brag about Atlanta and how because of Atlanta, all UGA fans are sophisticated.

I just laughed and told them, "You take away Atlanta and you have Mississippi". A bit of an exaggeration but largely true. I'd also mention that the book/film "Deliverance" takes place in GEORGIA.

Absolutely. Alabama isn't half as bad as people paint it to be in terms of "rednecks" and trashy people. I saw far more inbred looking trash in New Jersey, NYC and the Bay Area alone than I ever did in Alabama.

Amen! Granted when our undesirables do something stupid, it gets more national attention. But for other fanbases to act like they don't have idiots is idiotic in itself.

I mean, I recently read about a UGA fan pulling a gun on another fan for betting against the Bulldogs. No one heard about it because he wasn't a Bama fan.

I read all this sanctimonious shite from LSU fans on this forum while remembering they burned Nick Saban in effigy like homicidal maniacs. They whine about the teabagging incident yet laugh about that one Cajun Alabama fan dolt who was sexually assaulted by an LSU fan. They literally beat an Alabama fan to death in a bar. They had hundreds of fans threatening officials and their families on this very forum following the Devin White targeting call. I could go on but you get the picture...

And I spent 4 years at Benning which is in Auburn territory. I saw plenty of drunken Auburn rednecks get arrested out and about after Auburn games, mostly for fighting with Georgia fans.

Yeah outside of Pittsburgh and Philly, Pennsylvania is hardcore redneck and white trash. Even Ohio and Michigan are bad. Yet those two states also shite the loudest on southern states...

Why do you care what the other idiot fanbase thinks about us? If the players like him, and everyone is having fun, what does it hurt? Your pride? I’m happy for the guy and I like to rub it in on Auburn fans that Roll Tide Willie out recruited Rev Hugh for Ryan Williams. Whether he did or not, it still makes me laugh.
