I bought a Toyota Corolla Cross three months ago - non-turbo/non-hybrid 4 cyl - CVT - it's slightly smaller than the RAV4 - I love it - drives well - drove it to Slidell round trip 1400+ miles - 38 mpg Interstate - around town 35-36 mpg.

That turned the media in the West against him.
It's laughable to use the "western media" as a credible barometer of anything, even in the 70s. That was post-Watergate and the media had already chosen sides. Unless you were an adult at the time and following politics and foreign affairs, sit this one out.
Yes, the Shah was an authoritarian but the average Iranian was MUCH better off and the entire civilized world wasn't worried about Iran sponsoring global terrorists.

I’ve been wondering who all the self-loathing angry libs on social media are going to turn to when Trump’s no longer there to hate on.
Whoever is the next Republican party leader - the Dems and media (same team) hated Nixon, Reagan, GHW Bush, GW Bush - they have been the party of hate for 50+ years - the reason Trump is especially hated is because he's the first one to call them out for who they are and fight back.

For joint pain, ask your doctor for a tube of this:
Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel 3%
works well for my elbows and shoulders and I only have to use small amounts of it occasionally.

re: How difficult was it to get a room at that DC Hilton?
Posted by roadkill on 4/27/26 at 8:38 pm to CharlesUFarley
It's a Hilton property and is open to the public - NASA has an annual GSFC gala there - the last one was about two weeks ago - I have been to a couple of them - some of the local PhD candidates had a deadly shoot-out at the hotel entrance a few years ago.

I'm paraphrasing but Bear Bryant said something like:

Thanks - I was going to respond too but you took care of it.
Folks on this site keep talking about "fatigue" with a certain demographic - well, I'm also "fatigued" with the dishonest, low-IQ SOBs who keep repeating MSM lies about Trump - either do better or STFU. I'm ok with different opinions - I'm not ok with blatant lies.

I made more and owed less - anyone claiming the DJT tax cuts didn't save them money is a liar.
Yeah, having lived in the area four times in my life, I have seen hundreds of launches consisting of every vehicle launched from Canaveral/KSC.
First one I remember was 1956 or 57 - my dad was a NASA contractor before there was a NASA. Saw several explode on the pad or just after lift-off.
Saw all of the manned vehicles - Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Shuttle, and saw Artemis I & will see Artemis II Wednesday (hopefully) - have direct line-of-sight of the pad from my balcony.
I'm also a NASA contractor and supported the first and last Shuttle flights and a lot in between - watched Challenger from the VAB - ugh.
I get to watch SpaceX launch all the time - which has become routine EXCEPT when they land the booster(s) back at the Cape - like watching science fiction.
And ULA launches (Delta, Atlas) and Blue Origin has launched a couple.
Absolutely go see the launch but as others have said, there are frequent scrubs up to the second liftoff is scheduled so prepare mentally for disappointment.
And Brevard County is already buzzing - huge crowds are coming in - some estimates are 400k-500k+ visitors by Wednesday.
