The idiots don't want facts... They'd rather run around saying the sky is falling.

Perhaps DeBoer sees something in Mack that makes him believe he's the right guy for his system.
There's no way to know any of this until we see the product on the field.

BAMA didn't hire DeBoer to be a continuation of Saban. They hired him because they believe he can develop a system of winning akin to the winning tradition at BAMA.
The problem is that even if DeBoer has BAMA competitive in every game next season, and goes say 8-4, people will say, if Sayin this, or if TRob that.
DeBoer didn't think TRob or Sayin were instrumental to his success. Until he proves otherwise, I'm with DeBoer.

I’m with you man. Got to let the man build his own staff and team and then judge him.

If everyone could calm down and think about it just for a minute, if you force him to keep members of Saban’s staff or players then you can’t really hold him accountable for the outcome. You have to let the man make his own decisions.

Ok. Let's take a closer look at players.

Rome Odunze was Mr Football in Nevada. He was recruited by Saban. He went to play for Petersen at UW.

He could've called Saban when Petersen left or when Lake left and played at BAMA. He didn't. He stuck it out and DeBoer's offense probably turned him into a 1st round draft pick. You think DeBoer probably told Odunze, "if you stay, I'll put you in the NFL?"

Isiah Bond. Left before the new coach was announced for a payday.

I know which player I want at BAMA.

If DeBoer told Sayin that he'd rather have Mack, then I'm ok with that. After all, nobody knows his offense better than he and Grubb. Best believe this was a consensus decision and not an impulsive one.

how does losing sayin affect our wins in 23? He was not going to be the starter, backup QB at best. Might as well have the Mack kid as QB. He's got a year of coaching under his belt

I don't know that it does. My thinking is that this offense is predicted highly on the QB making the right read. ( Wish Bryce was still in that room) and with two 5stars and 2 four stars ONE of them will make that offense work. I figured saying was going to have a great shot at winning the job... But having Mack instead doesn't seemingly diminish the odds of one of the four properly executing the odds offensive game plan.

They didnt hire Kiffin...and your constant bitching about it wont turn back time and make Byrne hire Kiffin. I gotta wonder, whats the point of getting on here and being negative about something you had no part in and have no ability to change?

That may fly in a little backwater like Ole Miss.

Considering they're winning, their boosters probably not only gave their wife the green light, but they jack off in the corner dressed as Col Reb.

I think the timing was right to hire Kiffen. There are three or four reasons I felt that way, but a waste of time to discuss them now.

What gets more clicks and replies than the nonsense these handful of "posters" spew? Y'all remember Chicken's thread that he bumps on the rant about Bama's "bogus" NCs?

I'd probably get the axe if anyone ever paid attention when I point this out.

We all get sucked in sometimes. I've been here long enough that I have no excuse, but it still happens.

You really can only lose when you argue with someone who spends their whole life begging for someone to argue with them.

I find that it helps to respond verbally and generally curbs my desire to bother with a reply. Just shake my head and say some folks will never be happy in the Post Saban world.

I remember a LOT of haters from other schools LAUGHING at us in December 2007 for hiring a "Dud"...... They all claimed Saban was an overpaid BUST. I remember LSux fans buying up tickets to the Independence bowl game in Shreveport to jeer and laugh at Saban.

But no one was laughing after the season opener in 2008.

Candidly, I was REALLY Hoping we WOULD hire a "Continuation of Saban"!!!! But we broke away from the Bryant & Stallings legacies in 2006, and that turned out "OK".....

DeBoer needs at least one full season before we can have ANY idea how he's going to shake out.

You can. We were just all hoping for a better one than some dumbass “if we’d have hired Kiffin” nonsense.

Because, and this is important, kiffin didn’t get hired
