I still think Alabama's A+ game beats anyone. We're still trying to get alot of guys healthy

Y'all have to realize that this is who we are now. Games are going to be close that shouldn't because we want to throw the ball all the time.

Remember the Gene Stallings team that destryed Miami? No one thought Bama would win the game. Bama was one-dimensional. That year Bama had trouble with La Tech and found itelf in a hole against Miss St. It is rare when a team beats everyone handily. If several plays had been executed a little better Bama could have possibly won by several TDs. The game only confirm that Bama isn't perfect!

You can use your own logic against you. Why is he the answer?… can he pass block? Is he a good receiver? Is he consistently going to break long runs or just did it in garbage time against a checked out team?
Also I remember watching 2015 Alabama be just as dysfunctional and 2021 Alabama as well, with everyone moping SECCG Georgia as a “locked in loss”

I don’t think anyone looks particularly dominant except for Texas A&M. Even OSU has slows starts against inferior opponents.

Alabama's A+ game still has the #114 rushing offense in the country. It's extremely difficult to win championships without any semblance of a running game whatsoever. The ineptitude of our running game is truly stunning when you consider what we had starting with Glen Coffee, Andre Smith, and Mike Johnson. We had NFL RBs running behind NFL OLs for 15 years. We had such depth in the running game that Alvin Kamara...an NFL Rookie of the Year...had to leave to get serious playing time.

One thing I remember about 2015 is that Alvin Kamara was playing at Tennessee because at Alabama he was stuck behind TJ Yeldon, Derrick Henry, and Kenyon Drake.
Our running game is simply atrocious. 114 in the NCAA and 14 in the SEC. There's no way to sugarcoat that. There are certain truisms about college football that are always true. One is that to win at a championship level, you have to have at least some semblance of a running game. We clearly don't.

Hell, we see quick edge guys pretty much every week.
I know guys are probably dinged up/bruised but the offensive line performance has been pretty much the same all year. I'm convinced that almost all of our running game ills would be corrected with a GOOD offensive line coach. Chris Kapilovic isn't the answer.
There is no freaking way that Bama has signed all these 4-5 star recruits in the offensive line and we're this mediocre. There's nothing we can do about it right now. It's not like you can go to some store and pick out a good OL coach mid season.
This Spring will be a bit of a rebuild on the O line. A lot of positions up for grabs. I'm hoping Kapilovic is invited to leave and we get a proven winner as an O line coach and we have some great competition who wants those starting 5 O line spots.
Bottom line, there ain't nothing we can do right now. We are who we are with the coaching there and the starting players there. Just have to hope for the best next Spring.

I agree, Alabama certainly has some valid weak spots compared to the better teams of the Saban era and I will say I was a pretty harsh critic early on. But looking around college football, there just isn't a dominant team. Ohio State is uber talented, but they aren't terrifying and can be underwhelming. Indiana can throttle people once they get a head of steam, but I still doubt they can do that against legacy opponents like Bama, UGA or Ohio State. They could win, but they aren't going to shell shock blue bloods (forgive me for putting UGA in that).
Deboer has a proven pedigree for beating any team with a 1-10 ranking in front of their name. If we can just dodge bullets until the playoffs, the guy seems to not lose to teams who are supposed to be a problem.

The Saban Era is over, just win now by any means necessary.
If Alabama finishes the season 11-1, beats A&M in the SEC Championship and makes the playoffs, it's been a great season. Anything else is icing on the cake.

How does it feel to have an all time losing record to Vanderbilt ?

Alabama has a pretty good record vs Vanderbilt, IDK.

Funny considering that you’re a well known Auburn fan who continually messes with the fans on this board.

I’ll never understand how people can’t just enjoy the season on a game by game basis. Wins against LSU are fun. It was a good Saturday.

Nah, I hate Auburn with a passion. I'm just not a sunshine pumper and people think I'm a Auburn fan because of it.
