Between that and all the non calls in the Georgia game something tells me that there is some shady stuff going on behind the scenes.

UGA and OU both got some help from refs that protected their small late leads -- conference's CFP contenders -- suspicious looking, imo.

Sure don't want to act like LSU fans, but the first down call for OU was pretty bad.
For Georgia, there always are some hand checking, etc that goes on with DBs and WRs, so that's a little bit normal, although again that looked not so good for the SEC, when there were some fairly egregious jersey pulls.

Officiating has been sketchy all season. The sideline catch by Moss in the LSU game where he clearly stepped out of bounds is just one example.

LSU is gonna beat their arse. If that line is under 10 I’d punch LSU faster than lightning.

I don’t even think we have to worry about a 1 loss Oklahoma. Conference Championship only matter if teams are “comparable” I don’t think we are comparable right now...Bama is clearly better even with Mac Jones

Beyond all of the talk about how we can get in, does anyone think we stand a chance against Ohio State or Clemson? On one hand, it’d be nice to keep the playoff streak going. On the other hand, I’d rather not get steamrolled.

I'm scared to think what might happen if Bama had to play Ohio State or Clemson right now.

WTF is it with all these people with this attitude?

I'll tell you exactly what will happen: we'll be the only team to make all five playoffs, and the rest of the country will keep bitching. Good. We'll keep telling recruits that when you come to Bama, you're going to the playoffs.

How bad will we get beat? No worse than Clemson beat us.

Some people just need to grow a fricking set.

Bama would have to play a good game.
None of this fumbling the ball, dropping the ball, false starts, etc. Or the Tide will get rolled.
Of course, we couldn't hope for their bad game, that never happens

This is all you need to see to know we aren't getting in unless Oklahoma and Utah lose again.

I'm not scared. We will hold our own against any of those teams. We dont match up with Georgia too well but we dont play them so it doesn't matter.

On the other hand, you know what you could do? Become a fricking Aggie fan. Your team would usually be respectable enough to almost always be competitive, you'd score an occasional win against LSU, but they'd never even sniff the playoffs, so you'd never have to suffer that horrific indignity that you're so worried about.

This "on the other hand" bullshite. There is no fricking "other hand."

I didn’t say I didn’t want to make the playoff, boss. I’m just talking about whether or not we can stay on the field with Ohio State or Clemson. You act like I’m some defeatist who believes Bama will lose every game, when I’ve never shown myself to be anything but a hardcore Bama supporter.. Get off my back, dude.

Why is Oklahoma in this conversation every year when every year they have at least one loss and several close calls in that shite conference?Hell, they got boat raced by 7-4 Kansas State. And every time you put them in, they are one and done. Every. Time. Get a fricking clue. If anyone in that conference deserves consideration this year it’s Baylor as long as they win out. At least they play defense.

Too bad Tennessee sucked early in the season, otherwise they are 9-3 and a quality win for Bama.

Those writers have little value in their opinion. A 2 loss team is not getting in. If LSU beats UGA they are out no matter how close the score is unless Utah, OU, and Alabama also drop a game.

Utah just beat a 4 win team so they are not jumping us. They need to win out and I am not sure they can beat Oregon and even if they can not sure that will help them jump us. They are not a national brand, which matters when looking at the eye test and pedigree of the program. Yes the committee seems to use those things.

OU they are going to have to play better even if they win out because right now they are not playing like one of the 4 best in the country.

Right now it looks to be a 3 team race for the NC. The 4th spot will come down to a few teams and the committee will have to pick out of those teams who they think can keep it close vs the #1 seed.

In regards to the media and rest of the country on Bama fatigue I think they would rather see us get beat in the semis than Utah.

But in the end who really cares because we still have to beat AU. A ranked AU team Saban has yet to beat in AU when they are ranked while at UA. Lets get over that hump first.

That article is worthless:
quote:

Here's how our writers see the playoff field after Week 13. (These are not their projections for how the season will end.)

These articles are better:

College Football Playoff rankings: LSU vs. Ohio State for No. 1, Oregon's loss and more

Who has the best chance to make the College Football Playoff?

Allstate Playoff Predictor

Team (Record) | Make CFP | Win CFP

Ohio State (11-0) · 95% · 37%
Clemson (11-0) · 87% · 27%
LSU (11-0) · 86% · 15%
Georgia (10-1) · 50% · 7%
Alabama (10-1) · 47% · 12%
Oklahoma (10-1) · 12% · 1%
Utah (10-1) · 9% · <1%

We have beaten AU when they were ranked at the time of the game. Even if we do beat them this year (definitely going to be tough) they could very well finish the year 8-5 and unranked.
