Not the best of updates. They expanded the tropical storm force winds much more inland. It will have cleared Tuscaloosa by game time, maybe some light rain with leftover feeder bands. Just don’t see how they expect folks to drive in with that. Saturday will be a cluster.

Yeah I don’t see how anyone south of Tuscaloosa is making this game and getting home. Especially not knowing what will be closed, blocked, flooded etc.

I’m thinking of driving from Montgomery up to Columbus, MS and stay with family there Friday night and then head to Tuscaloosa on Saturday around noon.

Looking like the best move currently

That’s probably a good plan. I’m playing it by ear, if the storm is passed and the shear winds are gone we can fly in but that’s a complete game time decision. Not risking anything in the air.

I’m driving back from cullman right now. 65 north from mile marker 286 is backed up that far to exit 310 in cullman.

That’s correct. I had to go through downtown bham to bypass Huntsville exit 20/59 to 65north, traffic was backed up for miles.

I hope you can find a place to stay.

Haven’t made any dinner plans yet. It may be 8p or so before I make it into town depending on what traffic is like. Did you head back that way too?

No. I'm not driving up for the game so we're hunkering down.

Huck's should still be open around 8 o'clock. We haven't eaten there in a few years so I don't know if the quality has dropped.

My sister-in-law that lives in Caledonia is a cúnt so we haven't been back in almost a year. We haven't spoken to her since we attended our nephew's wedding in March in Nashville.

Bull shite. When did you do that? We flew from Orlando in to Bham last night. Got on 20 and 59. No traffic at all. Tuscaloosa is actually pretty vacant right now. This was both ways coming north too.

Yesterday around 5:30 or 6. Huntsville exit off 20/59 to 65 north was backed up for over 3 miles. 65 north to cullman from exit 310 to dodge city exit 299 was backed up that was around 7:30 pm.

Probably due to a wreck, not people fleeing the storm.

That is fleeing with the path. Easiest thing to do is go east or west.

Idk. It’s not worth arguing over. I seen what I seen and it was unusual for traffic to be that backed up at the cullman exits at 7:30 with no wrecks.

Did look at an interesting C6 09 vette I’m thinking about buying is why I was up that way. Base model vette completely stacked with factory add ons. Had everything a Z51 package had except the dry sump pump. 17yr old car that was in excellent condition.

With a 4LT package on the interior, don’t find many base models order that way
