Yep, pretty much flawless. The only piece of criticism that I can come up with is the end of the banner in the middle left.

I agree. It's classic. Reminds me of my childhood.

But it always bothered me that the top horizontal part of the A looks longer on the left side than the right. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it.

And the banner is drawn poorly, like it's from the early Simpsons. It just doesn't line up correctly when it goes behind the A and reemerges.

I’m disappointed that this thread is two pages but I haven’t had a single answer to my question.

SAD!

I could go the rest of my life without seeing that logo again.

I've always liked this one - I remember having a T shirt with it way back in the day.

I have noticed that people put them on crooked as well. I messed up one the first time I tried to apply it to my vehicle. I ended up taking it off (destroying it in the process) and getting another one. If you're not paying attention when you apply it, you will put it on crooked because of the way it is curved. After I screwed up the first time, I drew a level base line with a pencil and put the sticker up to it (without removing the adhesive backing) to make sure it looked right.

On a side note, has anyone ever noticed that the Firehouse subs on the strip has the Atlanta Braves script A, in crimson, painted on their ceiling. It is not that Alabama A.

Along those same lines, in the late 1980's fitted hats were all the rage and I bought my old man one for his birthday. Bought it from Bama Fever and it is a crimson hat with the Atlanta Braves A for the logo.

Well, it is Braves country

But, the pre-2001 version of the script A was much closer to the Braves A.

I wonder if Bama could get someone to take that old log above and maybe modernize it just a bit or tweak it into something new and fresh. It's still my favorite but I also know and agree we have to change some things with the times. The script A is just a generic piece of shite logo to me. Just my opinion and everyone is entitled to one and I won't hold it against you if you like it. But if I'm speaking honestly, that log was designed by someone who wanted a super easy logo to replicate for commercial purposes. There's nothing intricate or complicated about it so you can do almost anything with it. But it's also not endearing. I want something else.

BTW, that is how Big Al should look. Not the goofy Mickey Mouse wannabe we have now. Big Al should have tusks and be a badass.

As for the logo, I'm glad we settled on the Script A only because it seemed like for years we drifted from one logo to the other and it hurt our "brand."

Wouldn't mind seeing us go back to the elephant/block A logo though. It can be busy but if you take out the banner its pretty clean.

I really think it comes into one of two camps:

1) People who just aren't good at lining things up. The curves on the bottom of both legs of the A should be horizontal. The most common mistake I have seen is when people make the center line horizontal when it should be going up left to right just slightly. The result is a slightly tilted A that just doesn't look right.

2) People that just like it tilted. These are usually like at 45 degree angles. My guess is that they are trying to be creative.

I can't stand either.

Most of the Bama hats I've owned have that logo. They're hard to find. But it's my favorite logo.

Says who? Our uniforms are old school, and we are a historic program. Most modern logos are shitty. Angry Cartoon Al, for example.
