The last time Charlie Strong coordinated a defense, Michael Jackson (pervert) was still alive and Nick Saban had zero championships at Alabama.

EDIT: My apologies. MJ died 6 months before Strong last coordinated a defense.

When was the last time Nick Saban coordinated a defense? I think he probably could still do it pretty well.

Is nobody going to point out that Terrell also retweeted the tweet about this article and called it clickbait? He clearly feels like he was either misquoted or his comments were taken out context.

Be careful. A thoughtful, objective assessment of the facts is not allowed in here.

Well, he's also been the guy who's paid people to coach kickers and special teams coordinators, so there's that.

Everything...play calling, communication of the play to the players and then by the players, and coaching them up to proper execution...ultimately falls on the DC. Period. End of story.

We gave LSU points and cost us a chance to start a possession in great field position because we couldn't manage a substitution and had an interception wiped out.

I can't decide on if the fact Lewis watched more Bama games from the sideline than playing in them makes his opinion more or less valid

Being on the sideline would have put him closer to the chaos that led to two interceptions being wiped out by substitution penalties...one of which helped cost us a chance to play for a national championship.

Don't think we have a kickers coach. People use to blame Bobby Williams for our kicking problems, but it was later revealed that the only thing a special teams coach really does is make sure the right people get on the field.

And why stop at the DC? If everything goes up as you claim, then why not blame Saban? After all, not only did he hire Golding, he also decided to keep him.

As for LSU, our offense scored a total of 7 points until the end of the 3rd quarter. And those 7 points were on a 4 play drive where Devonta Smith just got wide open for a TD. Could NOT sustain a drive.

And of course, there was the no touch fumble. Funny how Tua gets a pass on that one because he was coming off injury, but half the defense gets injured in what is considered one of the most complicated defenses in college football and the same people expect it to do be all world.

On top of that, with less than 30 seconds of time remaining in the half, from our own 26 yard line, Tua throws an interception giving LSU the ball on our own 13 after Dickerson commits the personal foul on the return. Instead of going into the half only down by 13, we go into the half down by 20 with LSU getting the ball to start the 2nd half.

But the defense made good adjustments, comes out in the 2nd half and gets a turnover on the first drive, then proceeds to prevent LSU from scoring the entire 3rd quarter. Offense does fricking nothing.

I really don't see how anyone could legitimately believe a penalty on a interception was a bigger deal than what the offense did.

It's all just excuses to avoid the truth that Tua choked in every big game he played in outside the Georgia NCG. If Jalen had been out there, people would have no trouble blaming him instead of the defense, as they did vs Clemson.

Do you think he had a good view of Tua making one of the worst plays I've ever seen in college football when he threw an interception from our own 26 with 26 seconds left in the half, giving LSU 7 points?

ETA: It was also 1st down.

Also, wonder if he a good view of the punter fumbling as well.

3 turnovers by the offense in that game - defenses fault.

You just can't go more than 5 minutes without trying to excuse and/or cover up Pete Golding's incompetance, can you? Are you related to him?

There was no incompetence. The offense turned the ball over 3 times in a game against the #1 team in the country. 1 of which was a fumble without being touched in the redzone: 7 points taken off the scoreboard.

Another was a punter who fumbled, giving LSU good field position.

And the 3rd was an interception that was one of the worst/dumbest plays in the history of college football. 7 points given to the other team.

To be honest, I'm really fricking tired of watching out offense shite the bed because they want to get a QB the Heisman. Finally Sark gave up on that shite and started to run the frick out of Najee was the only reason we started to have success late in the 3rd quarter. Happy as frick that Tua declared and hope like hell Mac Jones wins the starting position next year so we can get back to fundamental drives rather than trying to live and die off highlight quality explosive plays.

4 offensive turnovers if you count the drive that ended on a turnover on downs.

Apparently, you can't stop desperately spewing the same old crap in your relentless and pathetic efforts to deny, excuse and/or cover up Golding's incompetence. Are you related to him?

ETA: I've got nothing against Pete Golding as a person, but he's been incompetent as Bama's DC/ILB coach, imo. I'm hoping he'll seek and get a job he can handle elsewhere, ASAP.
