Well maybe its time Nick learns a lesson before it bites him in the arse.

I'd rather have a rusty star QB vs. Georgia than not have him.

He looked pretty good last year vs. UGA without having in game reps.

Relax dude.....Saban's got this.....Tua will probably trot out for a couple of series at most. Would be more interested to see if Jalen can get out there.

If Tua can’t survive a few series vs the citadel what makes people think we will be A ok for Auburn the following week?

After the love Saban displayed for Jalen during the starting “competition”, do these people not think he loves Tua enough not to ruin his career?

I'd rest Tua this Saturday.

Not because of the status of his knee right now, though.

He might get legitimately injured in the upcoming gauntlet of the IB, SECCG, and the playoffs.

And the main thing I learned last Saturday was Mac needs every live rep he can get. His performance...wooof

Who's goal is that? Saban? Or yours? I'm not sure some Bama fans are really in tune with Saban's philosophy at all.

Really not his fault when he has guys running free at him every single snap.

Fair enough. But that's what every team we face will do if he's taking the snaps.

I did say it and it came from a medical staffer so I trust it. From what I was told it just takes time for a strain but there is also pain management. Does he play through hope we win out and take the break for the playoff? But we play the Barn and UGA back to back. If Tua remains off or it gets worse than he will drop to a 50% passer and we likely lose. Not sure guys just brain storming like the rest. Makes me uneasy.

I feel like if Tua can give us 75%-80% we handle Auburn and UGA. Although UGA May be a battle in that scenario. Surely that gives him enough time to heal up for the playoffs. Just have to do a little praying.

From BOL today:
quote:

-- Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (knee) was not wearing the familiar brace on his right knee. Instead, he only had a sleeve on his right leg and was once again not limited. Earlier in the day on the SEC teleconference, Nick Saban said he thinks Tagovailoa is over his earlier knee injury.

-- Quarterback Jalen Hurts (ankle) was trying to do more Wednesday. He asked quarterbacks coach Dan Enos to go through the final individual drill in the first of two viewing periods, and the junior threw the ball well once cameras were not allowed to film. He is still limited, though.

I have no idea what to think of Tua’s injury. I guess we will see how accurate he is on Saturday against what will basically be air.

Yea give the kid some actual throws that kinda mean something

I’m sure he’s fine in practice but it’s different when the lights are on

Maybe one of these days some of these posters will start taking our coach seriously when he comments about players' progress when it comes to recovery.

That's why you don't see me get involved much in the speculative discussions and debates on the board. Instead, I read what Saban says about stuff and go with that. If he hasn't said anything yet, I just wait until he does or until it plays out.

At the end of the day, it boils down to folks giving it all to the program. If he lets Tua sit, what about all the other folks with injuries.

Not playing your best players because you don't think The Citadel is a worthy opponent is anti-The Process. Everything in the program is engrained that you push through things. You give it your all. You focus on the next play.

Expectations don't change and goal posts aren't moved. It's what breeds our consistency as a program.

This is why Saban is playing Tua. You don't play with fear, you don't play the game of what ifs and you sure as hell don't cater and change expectations.

Exactly. This is the stupidest conversation ever - and shows the pussification of our favorite sport.
