Can you explain why PCL isn't that big of a deal?

Who says it's a PCL.... We haven't heard anything besides what people think it is because of the location of pain

He did. And it lines up with comments from coach. Still could be just a rumor.

Lot of you gotta stop thinking as a fan, and start thinking as a player and coach. That was never gonna happen. I rather Tua to play this weekend, and work on few things.. He has been struggling the last two weeks.. and on top of that, this is perfect game where he can boost his number slightly for Heisman. We need to get our chemistry under control now that Brown is probably out this week and maybe next week. There is absolute no reason for ya'll to get mad that Tua is playing this week. It's just football. Let them play.

This...exactly...every word.

So we are going to risk the most irreplaceable member of the team who is hurt just to prove a point? If he was healthy, ok, but he’s not. And we have much more important games rapidly approaching. If our 3rd string can’t beat the Citadel, maybe we aren’t as good as we think we are. And they would enjoy the playing time immensely.

You're obviously never going to get it, no matter how much you're told.

I'm just a fan but if I was calling plays I'd let our RBs run the ball and just have Tua throw or hand off...bring Jalen in if we wanna run the QB.

Why shouldn’t he play?

this, he's fine. So he has to deal with a little pain.

So does every other starter on our team this late in the season.

You don't have to make millions a year to have common sense. And when you're playing a team Hoover could hang with, rest your injured QB.

Maybe you should tell Saban. I’m sure he’d appreciate the advice. He’s clearly got a lot to learn about this coaching thing.

Im usually in tune with the coaches decisions pn players, but I d have started Mac Jones for the Citadel

Give Tua all the rest he can get.

Saban doesn't care about your opinions.

Of course he'll play. Were there people who actually thought otherwise?

Now, I wouldn't expect him to play 4 quarters. And, if Saban wants to avoid silly questions about resting players, maybe we should work on not scheduling teams like The Damn Citadel.

But, of course he will play.

You don't understand Nick's philosophy at all.

And that why you are not the coach.

I understand Saban's philosophy but if the goal is to win the National Championship then what we should do is rest our QB until the SEC championship game.

We know what Tua is capable of when healthy. He is good enough to win the NC and beat Georgia. Yes he can improve, but his play is more likely to improve by getting him healthy rather than playing him hurt (just look at him this week versus against Mizzou). He's regressing as he loses mobility and it affects the entire offense.

Play Mac vs. Citadel, and hope Jalen is ready to go vs. Auburn. Let Tua rest for the SEC championship. 12-1 Bama with an SEC championship (and healthy TUA) is probably a #1 seed. 12-1 Bama who loses to Georgia because Tua is hurt is looking for help to make the playoffs.

The reality is that Saban will balance keeping Tua sharp and on point vs. aggravating or risking further injury. Sitting a player that can play is not in Nick's D.N.A.
