Why would the team not be fired up for a national championship game ?

I keep thinking Bama won't be as fired up as needed.

The which team is more “fired up” or “wants it more” arguments are overrated. Nobody wants to lose. Especially in a setting like a NCG.

Seeing how a team adapts in game and reacts to pressure is more important.

The thing I’m worried about is Bama played a great game last time. Young made some perfect throws. Asking that to happen for the 2nd time in 3 games is going to be tough. Georgia is good enough of a team that few things finally going their way in these matchups can lead to a win. Literally one or two plays can be the difference between a 3 point loss and a 10 point win. So it’s hard to predict what’s really going to happen.

Nervous. Thankful to be where we are, but it’ll still hurt if we don’t win. We can win this game. 34-24 bama

Why weren't they up for Auburn until the 58 minute mark?
Maybe "fired up" isn't the perfect phrase, but maybe it's a bit of overconfidence.

Overconfident ? Really ? They're underdogs in Vegas. Plus the narrative that the media keeps pushing about UGA not being motivated in the first game.

Feeling more and more comfortable. Been watching YouTube/podcast breakdowns in last game and predictions. Something almost no one talks about is our defense. I think they can play better than last game.

Also BoB having the plan B to turn it the game into a volume scoring with deep shots and extending the ppg and Georgia doesn't have that option.

I expect to see some fake injuries to get guys off the field tomorrow if they are in bad sets.

Edit:could be the sleeping pills talking idk. Think we will leave no doubt after 2 wins in a month.

I think Williams is going to be used like P Harvin. Get him the ball in multiple looks including in the backfield. I expect him to have a big night tomorrow.

I'm fine with it either way, outside of getting blown out completely.

If anything I want Georgia to lose more than I want us to win. Denying their best team since 1980 a championship would be hilarious, and would help us in recruiting. But we're playing with house money ey really. This is as close to a rebuilding year as we've had. We weren't supposed to be here. Next year is a different story, but this a freebie.

I think if they blitz hard they have a good shot, but there is no way that Saban hasn't spent the last 5 weeks making sure that our biggest disadvantage, which happens to be the thing that Georgia did not play into, isn't handled in some way.

It sucks that we're so banged up, but we get B Rob healthy this time around and that could be huge for us.

I expect us to handle our emotions, but Georgia is in a different place. Their loss to us very well could have given them the reality check that we needed (and got) when we lost to A&M. If it didn't though and they aren't in the right place it's gonna be a slaughter in our favor.

A comfortable, low-stress beatdown would be just as enjoyable as a last second TD pass or walk-off FG. Crushing Georgia's dreams from start to finish sounds like the way to go, though.

If Alabama concentrates TOO much on Bowers with a linebacker I'm afraid the run defense will suffer. It's a catch 22. ROLL TIDE

^^Same.
Bowlcuts blitzing heavy is my main concern. Potential big plays to be made but also plenty of 2nd/3rd and longs expected. Sun ain’t even up, 13+ hours till kickoff and already need beer

I believe this is our biggest advantage coming into the game. In the SECCG UGA came in over confident and it cost them. Now there is even more pressure to perform and win on UGA, especially Kirby.

UA teams that buy in, which this teams seems to have now when it counts this season, do not let the emotion get to them. Just like Saban they understand no matter how big the game is they have to strap up, execute, and play 4 quarters. Kirby on the other the hand failed to bring that one aspect over from UA with him and his players will be hyped up and full of emotion.

UA was down 10-0 with the playoffs on the line in Atlanta and the team stayed focused.

I can’t think about it. Whatever happens happens. I have an idea but then I have no idea.

Bama 54-27
The offense clicks just like the first time. This time Saban doesn’t take his foot off the gas in the 4th quarter and we keep scoring. We also get 2 NOTs.

I think they way they used him against Cincy was a test run for some looks hes going to get tonight. Quick outs, curls, etc. where we can dump it off to him when UGA blitzes. He can house anything, just get it in his hands and let him try to make someone miss.

That said, I do hope we don't completely eliminate his old role. Jacory, Slade, and co. are capable of being perfectly fine safety blankets as well.

Excited and nervous.

There are two key players IMO; Bryce Young and Brock Bowers.

Neither team can win without their key player playing very well. With that said I do expect more helping in the run game from a healthy BRob.
