Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M is a pretty brutal October stretch.
The usual bye before LSU that LSU also gets.
A&M gets the Citadel the week before us while we're on the road at Tennessee...probably the biggest disadvantage game...at least we're at home.

Thought we were done with uga for awhile?

Not being a jerk but why not just copy and paste schedule?

How many have byes before us other than LSU?

In name except Georgia and aTm it’s not unmanageable but there are no gimmes on the schedule. Except 1st and 11 th week. State is better, who knows what LSu will be but I expect at least a competent offense. Kentucky new coach and horrible year this year. Unless Pavia gets his 100th year of college football they’ll be breaking in another QB and Auburn is at least at home and again new coach so who knows what they will be.

Wonder how bad Sankey screwed us with bye week teams or teams coming off non-conf opponents?

Pretty manageable. Though the four difficult games are clustered together. Should absolutely open 5-0. Last three should be victories as well with Auburn being at home. Go 2-2 against UGA, A&M, Tennessee, and LSU and should finish no worse than 10-2.

First time in what, 20+ years without at least one team on our schedule that would have a bye when we don’t? Feels like it.

He miscounted byes for this year and doesn't mention how many teams play non-conf games before they play us.

I think playing the Citadel before us is basically a bye for A&M. Elko will be preparing for 2 weeks while we're banging heads with Tennessee in a rivalry game.

The 9 game schedule is going to be brutal for the SEC. Thanks Sankey.

So we added a conference game and eliminated a bye week?

Wow! They add a conference game to the schedule and only give one BYE. The last several seasons had TWO. That is going to be a long stretch. I don't like it!

It was a terrible idea given the way the committee obviously just counts wins.
Absent a CFP expansion this was death for the SEC from a competitive standpoint.

Can't wait to limp into the Iron Bowl with multiple injuries while Ohio State sleepwalks into the playoffs without a scratch.
frick that pedo looking piece of shite, Greg Stankey.

At least we should have 5 weeks to get our crap together and figure things out. I stress “should”.

That’s the issue nobody is talking about. Expansion isn’t going to stop the absolute wear & tear that SEC teams are going to have entering the playoff.
Sankey has been terrible for SEC Football. Just because something earns more money doesn’t mean it’s what is best for the conference.
