Essentially the only team that can drop a game and still be in the SECCG is Alabama

This is NOT acceptable! Win both and leave no doubt. That may be easier said than done but how does it help Alabama to lose to a very bad Auburn team?!

Pruitt is suing the NCAA for the results of his firing and using outdated rules and guidelines for punishment. May not change anything but I think his hearing/court date is October 15, 2025. It should be interesting.
Bama has 2 true rivals: Auburn and Tennessee. The only reason Bama-LSU was big is because of Coach Saban. LSU hated him for coming to Alabama. They even burned him in effigy the first year they played there after he became coach at Bama. That game means nothing without Saban walking the sideline during that game. Forget LSU!
So sorry to see this sad news. Praying for strength and comfort for the Russell family in the difficult days ahead.
This loss more than likely put Bama out as host. South Carolina will probably get the invitation. Guess we'll have to wait til Sunday to find out though.

Total meltdown in the 2nd. Felt like we needed to win this series to be a regional host

Hosting is doubtful this year. Bama has the worst record of the 4 teams on the bubble but the best strength of schedule. This team is better than last years and were able to host. Too many teams upset about it and the media keeps pointing it out. Will be interesting how the committee votes. Roll Tide!
Lot of mistakes that lost the game today. For instance, reliable Kali Heivilin had a rough day. She was always a step off and seemed to miss everything that came her way. The wild pitches and throws drive me crazy. It's like the whole team loses control in close games and plays like little leaguers. They don't seem to have enough confidence in themselves to make the critical plays. I was told today that I should just pull for Bama to lose out, miss hosting a regional and miss the playoffs. Apparently, some fans think this is the only way to get rid of Murphy. I don't think he's going anywhere regardless of the outcome of this season, unless he decides to retire. I told them I could NEVER pull against Alabama under any circumstances and no true fan would. Hoping these ladies can put it together and win at least 2 out of 3 of these last two remaining series. Roll Tide Roll!

Oklahoma and Missouri advance to finals. Not gonna lie, this was a disappointing season.

Oklahoma: 197.5500
Missouri: 197.3000
Florida: 197.2000
Alabama: 196.8250

Ugh! After the first rotation, Bama is in 4th place. Got to stick those landings! :banghead:
Wow! These ladies showed their grit tonight! The pitching this series has been awesome. How about Briski and Riley both pitching full games?! So proud of every one of these ladies. So happy to see them having fun and celebrating afterwards. This is Alabama Softball. Keep this momentum going forward! Roll Tide Roll!
We're supposed to expect our team to win every time. Why else do we watch or go to games? BTW, Bama beat Oklahoma for the championship in 2012. A long time ago, I know but they were supposedly unbeatable then, too. Proud of the team and how they played today. Hope they continue to play well and win the series tomorrow as well as the rest of the season. Roll Tide Roll!

Me of little faith. Never thought I’d see this squad come this close to putting it all together. So close to overtaking the Gators too.

Me, too, especially after the first rotation on vault. They started out with all those hops and missteps on their landings. They started out third after that. If not for that, they could've/would've edged out Florida for the overall win and #1 spot. Hoping they get these things corrected for the championship. And, Coach, please make sure all apparatuses are checked for problems or issues before starting events. I will never forget the disaster on the beam for Alabama and vault for Oklahoma last year.

Moving on:
Florida: 197.700
Alabama: 197.675
California: 197.575
Oregon State: 196.875

Congratulations Ladies!!!
I may watch a few innings before switching over to gymnastics at 5:00pm. Good luck Bama in both events. Roll Tide Roll!
Bama loses 8-0 in 5 innings. 4 hits, 1 error, 0 runs. I hate to say it, but it was an absolutely pitiful display from our team tonight.... like they didn't even show up if you can believe that. Hopefully they show up and win tomorrow.
Bama was awesome on floor today! High score on floor of 49.600. Congratulations ladies! RTR!
DANG! This one is a heartbreaker. Really hate it for the team. Team fought hard to come back from a 6-1 deficit. Ellastead hit a grand slam to bring it to 6-5 and ended the inning with a 7-6 lead. Had to start rotating pitchers again and lost 9-7. :wah:
Two batters, hit by pitch, back-to-back. One scores and A&M leads 1-0. Can't help but wonder how good this team might be if we had good pitching.

For those interested, LSU won the SEC Championship last night. Results from Session II:
LSU: 198.200
OK: 197.925
FL: 197.825
MO: 197.400

Just a note of interest.... the judges gave out 4 or 5 tens to this group.

I think today is it for the SEC Championship. I have noticed the judges are handing out the Session 2 competitors higher scores, maybe deserved, maybe not. I don't remember these teams getting such high scores during the regular season, but I didn't keep up with them every week either. Regardless, they are definitely not consistent across the board. Florida has a 10 and several others have high 9's.
