You're off the wagon because he prefers a 6'5" stud qb to Sayin? Well, bye.

which means it's likely true, and that infuriates me. I'm off the wagon if DeBoer is telling kids to leave.

Yeah even if Mack is his boy and he thinks he's going to be the next big thing, it's literally never a good idea to run off talented players. Especially in the portal era. You flat out do not know what your roster is going to look like next week, much less this fall.

I mean, they must think Mack is a future Heisman winner if they're choosing him over Sayin.

This guy came in and is tearing apart a team which would have won a national championship last year and next season just with a better OC.

Man... this is epically bad.

Sunshine pumpers will come and insult and attack us but just wow.

Wow.

He is kicking out proven talent to replace with lesser talent. Heck he didn't even bother to ensure our current starters wouldn't bolt.

Kiffin was the right hire.

We would have just transitioned. His first call would have been to TRob to retain him not insult him by telling him to interview.

His next calls would have been to our starters then the HUGE QB signing to ensure they are in safe hands.

Instead we hire a guy who seems more in love with this past than actually building upon his future

That's just an opinion. These recruits are like prospects in baseball. No one knows that Sayin will be better than Mack yet. He is higher rated as of now, but obviously, the coaches love what they have in Mack. He could end being better. We'll know in a few years.

Saying and Downs were the two guys we couldn’t afford to lose. DeBoer lost both of them.

I'll concede Downs as a very difficult loss, but a guy who has yet to participate in a meaningful practice yet? Nah. I've seen too many 5-star QBs bust to melt over that.

True but it’s obvious he was still 100 times the recruiter DeBoer will ever be.

He's been at the same UNIVERSITY for 17 freaking years and the greatest living coach out there. Do you think that is fair to compare DeBoer too?

The posted quote is pretty vague. Hard for me to read too much into it when's it unclear exactly what transpired.

But he also didn't have to come in and reinvent the damn wheel. Seem like he would have did exactly what Kirby has done and copied everything that Saban did because well it ffricking works! Why come in and think your way is better when you see what works for tha gawd damn goat!

You don't hire a coach and then tell that coach to be someone he isn't. frick. Some of you guys COULD NOT POSSIBLY have been fans prior to 2008.

Do you honestly think we’d be seeing these kinds of transfers if we had hired Sark, Kiffin, or Lanning?

Sark wasn't gonna leave Texas and Kiffin was never an option. Wouldn't have minded Lanning but he's very young and the pressure to replace Saban is huge...not to mention DeBoer was 5-0 against Sark & Lanning in the past two years with less talent than either of them had...

You must've graduated with a degree in Women's Studies with the way you're bleeding. You don't seem too smart.

Ain't but one Saban, buddy. We were never going to maintain what he did. Wake the frick up.

Sometimes I am literally ashamed of our fanbase. People bitch about how we’re portrayed by our rivals on the Rant, but damn, if the shoe fits …
