Question about Spring Practice.

It seems evident with all of the players that have already left that spring practice needs to be postponed. The college football portal window does not reopen until April 15 and runs to April 30. Can Alabama postpone its Spring practice until after April 30th? That way many of of the new transfers could participate.

I believe there is only a 30-35 day window where you are allowed 15 on field practices plus the scrimmage.

Well, this has got to be the most ridiculous post i have read yet. And i have read most of Ystar and Jryan,s drivel.

I thought there may be a mandated time frame. Maybe, Bama could get a waiver from the NCAA nazis. It seem unrealistic to have a large number of players come in the summer and learn a new system.

So, Bama is to have a spring practice with only 35 scholarship players? How is that going to be productive? I am sorry if some of you cannot comprehend that.

Coach up the ones we have and go from there. The timeline is the timeline and it won’t change

Easy fellas. I learned a long time ago that are no bad ideas. Just ones tha cannot be implemented. At least He is not flame throwing a fit like others.

Even if they are missing many players, these practices will make the players who are here better and will help the coaching staff identify the most pressing areas of need.

I get the intent but we press on. I think it's utter BS that all the players that left get to practice with their new teams and Bama can't practice with their replacements till the fall... But 1) the talent is n Tuscaloosa isn't low margin talent. So it's not like they need to be replaced they just need the instruction 2) they will have a bit better two ratio of coaching to player till the portal opens up and the current guys can help the new guys

They can’t postpone spring practice. Right now CKD is talking to the boys about having half of them play both offense and defense and then take turns kicking and punting.

I just counted 70 scholarship players. I think the coaches can make spring practice work
