Morning. I saw an article saying that Pruitt will be an analyst at Alabama after the recent court ruling.

Don’t recall seeing anything here. Can someone confirm/deny?

Pruitt will be co-head coach with DeBoer. Money will be distributed in Taco Casa bags.

CKW is running a 3-4 Under Front the majority of the time now. What they are doing in the “Box”/ Front-7 (6 in reality) is very similar to the 2010-2018 alignment. So, Pruitt would mesh there very well imo.

In order be an effective coach you have to believe in the scheme obviously.
The difference is in the play of the Secondary. Pruitt’s Secondary (Saban’s) is notoriously much more complicated and required a couple of seasons even for very talented players to get acclimated to it, whereas the Secondary now is much different (and much less complicated) and just as efficient (better in a lot of ways).

Pruitt is a LB Coach by trade, and would fit in great (philosophically) with the Front-6, but the Secondary is not compatible.

He is also a very strong personality (see confrontations with coaches while on UGA’s staff), so I’m not sure how well that would mesh with coaches he has zero ties too.

With that being said, I would still love to have him.

As of early 2026, former Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt is working as a defensive analyst at Jacksonville State University after his NCAA show-cause order was lifted in December 2025, allowing him to return to college football in a limited capacity, though he previously coached high school football at his alma mater, Plainview High School. While initially coaching high school, he now serves as an analyst, with speculation about his potential return to a full-time coaching role due to his respected defensive background.

Pruitt one of the best talent evaluators Bama has ever had. Its a talent/skill same as any other, and Pruitt is one of the best.

Also, having a "strong personality" in the locker room would be very beneficial for this team. Currently there is a void.
