Dude, there’s like a hundred identified ones and more lurking under the radar: Identity Evropa, the Boogaloo Movement, and dozens of others that hide behind their keyboards mostly but come out now and then during unrest, hoping their racial civil war that they preach will kick off

I'm calling BS on the Klan thing. The last time I remember hearing about an actual Klan rally in Alabama was many years ago, and the only group that showed up was a handful of guys from southern Illinois.
There is zero chance that any of the 12 rednecks still in the Klan signed his name to a protest application with the city.

I'd never heard of those guys until today. They arrested three of them a day or two ago going to a protest in Vegas with some molotov cocktails. They'd been the day before and were disappointed it was peaceful. According to the article they are ex-military guys who hate the government and expect a war to break out soon. (If not, they're going to prod it along, apparently). It made no mention of them being supremacists, though I'd think that would have been the primary focus of the article.
Also, if they're so prominent, why have I not heard of them, unlike other racist groups?
ETA - and is it even possible to have picked a dumber name for your group of racists than Boogaloos? I mean, damn!

The three guys that got arrested had just met each other a couple of weeks ago at one of those "reopen" rallies. I wonder if they were already Boogaloos or if they decided to invent the Boogs that day (I'm just going to call them Boogs from now on. Easier, and less stupid sounding.)
Anyway the article says that Boogs believe there is going to be a great war that will bring down all of civilization and they're going to help that happen. The FBI says they use terror tactics from the Irish Republican Army Green Book.
Honestly, that sounds much more extreme leftist than white supremacist, but, like I said, I never heard of them until today, so I only know what ABC news tells me.

The reason you’ve never heard of them is because they pretty much don’t exist, at least not in comparison to ANTIFA, which runs Portland, directing traffic and beating on cars and yelling at people like, well.... Nazis.

This post about Antifa being at Linn park tonight is simply untrue, despite all the upvotes. There is an obvious reason no link was included, because it didn't happen.
Meanwhile the post about the white nationalist threatening to assassinate Birmingham's mayor is true. An arrest was made, the audio of the threat is online and widely reported across many sources in the media, links provided, despite the lack of upvotes.
Obviously that says everything about who is fixated on this thread but just want to make sure any impressionable readers are reminded of this objective truth, despite the unhinged bent this thread has taken.

The Boogaloo movement is, to the best of my knowledge, a mishmash of smaller segment groups that all have one thing in common: they think civil war is coming. Some of the groups think the Boogaloo (their name for the war) will be just a revolution, a fight to overthrow the government. But there is a significant segment of them that think it will be racial in nature and are at heart, white supremacists. They usually identify themselves by wearing a Hawaiian shirt underneath their camo/military dress. I know they sound wacko in more ways than one, but ask the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery if they think they are a big joke.

SPLC ceased being an objective source years ago. They have paid several large settlements recently for labeling normal advocacy groups as ‘hate’ groups because they didn’t conform to the PC culture.
These groups may well be legit 21st century KKK but asking the SPLC about them is the same as asking PETA about anyone who eats meat, owns a pet, or once accidentally hit a dog with their car and then failed to commit ritual suicide as penance.

Cops and teachers are two professions that would see drastic improvements in overall quality if they were paid enough to attract a better applicant pool. Even if a department makes 8 good hires out of 10 total, half of that 8 will be gone within 2 years because they have the mental capacity to do more lucrative and less stressful work. The other half will be promoted and on their way to a desk job. The 2 who are bad people, bad employees, or both will avoid being fired because the police union protects them, but no one else will hire them because they are stupid, redneck assholes, and they won't get promoted to a desk job with less public interaction for that same reason.
