My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer. (rare) it’s in her liver and spine. There’s no cure and baring a miracle it will kill her. Every day I watch her struggle with the enormous pain physically and mentally.
Her souls intact. She not afraid of dying but afraid of leaving myself and our son to help take care of. If she dies tomorrow she can rest ashore that I will continue on, that’s what she wants. That even though she’s left this world myself and my son will honor and carry her with us for the rest of our lives. Myself and my Son will prove ourselves worthy to do so.
I’m sure your wife would want the same for you also. Prove yourself worthy to continue on, she’ll be with you every step of the way.

We'll be praying hard for you, brother. But most of all, you must keep praying and keep following His guidance. Your children need your love, comfort and strength now more than ever. God will give you and all who mourn for her the love, comfort and strength you need if you ask Him and have faith that He will. We love you, brother!

Data, I hate to hear this news. Speaking as someone who has lost his father, I can’t begin to tell you how many minutes of the day, days of the week, weeks of the month, I’ve missed my father. I still pick up the phone to tell him something about my day and then remember. Your kids need you! Be well, brother.

Hang in there, CD. I can’t relate specifically to your loss, but I may be in the same boat someday.

There is nothing I or anyone can say, but just know you can and will work through this in time. Be with your kids, think of them, be there for them, remember your wife and take it day by day as best you can.
Seek out someone or people to talk to when you need to and don't be afraid to ask for help.
- As far as the xanax, if you are really worried about that, I would give it to someone you trust for the time being and let them dole it out for you. The rebound anxiety and depression from going too hard on that stuff for a couple weeks will make you feel even worse and give you a whole separate issue when you don't need anything else on your plate.
