Makes me wonder if Battle should've done something else to court his family. Maybe we'll see them visit before a final decision has been made.
The family thing is obviously the #1 obstacle. The money can't be an issue. We're obviously promising him the moon when it comes to resources and control. So the family is the hangup right now. If that's the case, then I don't know how this will play out.

I'm pretty sure his son's fandom started because his dad's been their coach for almost half his kid's life. I'm pretty sure he's going to college in the fall, so it's more about his wife and daughter.

I would personally like to thank the football team, for being on their best behavior this week, while we are trying to lure a family man to t-town to coach our basketball team. Way to represent the University!!!

In all seriousness, the family had to know this had been coming for some time. Surely they've prepared themselves for the possibility that they could leave Wichita one day.

I'll be disappointed if we don't get Marshall, but I might have a full meltdown if we actually hire the guy that is a bottom tier big 10 coach.

I'm sure GM doesn't consider this at all when thinking about the job offer...this happens at EVERRRRRRRRRRY single university including Wichita St and Harvard. And its not like they are even bball players so who cares, really?
However im with you on our players just having enough sense to not do stupid shite...oh well. some people take a while to grow up I guess
