left Ole Miss with all of the beautiful coeds at his disposal there. He’s going to have to be all football at LSU.
You’ve never been to LSU. I might hate them because I live here but the women here are absolutely beautiful and I’d put them against any in the nation.

A lot of that going around these days....

He fricked Ole Miss bad. He fricked 10erC so bad it took them years to recover.
I hope he fricks LSU just as hard
He fricked us too, don't forget. Pulling the shite that he did in the playoffs and forcing Saban to fire him before the national championship game. He cost 'Bama two titles (the other one vs OSU by not running Henry when he was killing them.)
Everyone upset that he wasn't hired here conveniently forgets who Kiffin really is.

Yup. Don’t forget how badly he handled the quarterback situation before the 2015 Ole Miss game. That was an absolute clusterfrick of a situation starting Cooper Bateman. What a joke.

In all probability if true it's certainly a stop-gap move at best. OM was kept in the dark until yesterday. Kiffin strung them along giving no solid answer all the time he's lining up the coaches and players he's gonna poach. Golding was in all probability the ONLY option left to take them into the CFP run. Even if you had any coach you wanted, not one of them could hope to come in and know, much less, run the system the players are accustomed to. Gotta be an Admin's worst nightmare.....and then there's the players. Its my one wish Kiffin never comes any closer to the CFP than the spot he just left.

Golding had a good defense this year. I read where he changed up some things this year.
He needs to clean up his appearance to be a head coach. He has good speaking skills, though.

From the time it happened, I've felt that was a Saban call and it was a genius move.
Saban always said the starting QB has to win the team. People forget, but that certainly hadn't happened with the fanbase and apparently not the team either. There was no confidence at all that a guy who couldn't beat out Blake Sims had what it took to be the Bama QB and Coker wasn't looking awe-inspiring.
Getting benched for Bateman woke him up. He came in, played like a man possessed, nearly led an amazing comeback, and the rest is history.

Biggest knock on kiffin is he can’t beat Kirby. He is mark richt reincarnated.

As a coach maybe, but as a man Kiffin is the antithesis of everything Mark Richt exemplified: integrity, character, selflessness.

What could possibly go wrong with making Golding the head coach?

I will cut Ole Miss athletic director, and other people involved, slack on this one. They are in a tough spot. LSU does have a higher ceiling than Ole Miss. It is probably more about the money with Lane. He is not alone. Money is most, if not all coaches, main objective. Saban was one of the leaders of the pack. Part of the reason players are getting paid. I have read that Coach Bryant regretted chasing the money too hard. I don't know if that is true. I do know he accepted the Dolphin job before Shula was hired. There was a lot of pressure so he decided to stay and did have another run in the 1970's.

Ole Miss matched every offer LSU made.

Yeah, Kiffin is still just the same piece of shite he was 15 years ago when he did this to UTk. This is even worse because at least USC was a dream job of his and UTk had nothing to play for. He's fricking all these people over for nothing. LSU is just scumbag U at this point and they absolutely deserve to be the most hated program in college sports. BK, Mulkey, Wade, now Kiffin..they have a type and it's not a good one. Even Miles and O weren't exactly good people, but got away with it because of their personalities.

I mean, Kiffin is and always will be a shitstain of a human being. People will ignore that kind of stuff as suits them though. What confuses me is that him being a shitstain personally is combined with him being a 7/10-on-his-very-best-day-and-thats-not-often coaching talent. I mean, come on, if you're going to embrace some douche, I would expect it to be because he's a phenomenal talent. The moral bargain doesn't make sense.

I need to correct something I said yesterday in a thread that apparently was deleted. Kiffin didn’t skip out without talking to his players … I was going by a tweet from Caleb Odom who called him out … Ole Miss wouldn’t let him talk to his players. That casts a different light on things and I say hooray for Ole Miss, the turd would have been poaching players.

I made the mistake of scrolling through Twitter this morning and the screenshots of his DMs are even worse than I could have imagined.
Yet there are many posters on this board that still have a weird obsession with him. Kiffin is a good coach but he's not good enough to deal with all the BS that comes along with him.

Right, it's not like he's Urban. Urban is the kind of garbage human you put up with because it's not a question of if but rather how much hardware he's going to put in the trophy case. Kiffin has never shown the capacity to be that kind of coach. Maybe he eventually will be, but he's not right now and yet he's treated like he definitely is.
