Originally thought Brunner might be a target but then I saw he has some pretty rough PFF scores. I know, not the be-all and end-all but thought he would have graded out higher.

Ahh yes, the golden, magical skillet!

Seriously, I hate to use the word "bust" but Collins did pretty much nothing at Florida and at Bama. He could probably start at some school like UNA or Delta State.

Aren't we all trying to develop a skillet? I'm a fan of a cast iron skillet, myself.

RT: gone

Carrol was the RT to finish last season. Last I heard, he’s staying, but I see your point. Not a great situation

Tougher than our run defense for sure

Me post Rose Bowl:
“Hey, our team isn’t that great.”

Me watching the portal situation:
“Why are we letting all these players leave?”

We wanted a roster overhaul and now we’re getting it. Unfortunately we’re still cleaning house and have barely begun buying new stuff so it’s tough not to look around and be like “what the hell is going on!” when we don’t even have a chair to sit on at the moment.

We basically expect it now with Oats and the basketball team, we just have to accept that’s how football works now too and trust the staff and boosters to go get what we need for next year.

Theres also the fact that stacking young talent like we did under Saban is basically done everywhere and isn’t nearly as helpful as it was then anyways considering by the time half the guys are actually ready to play at a high level they’re in the portal and doing it for someone else.

All we can do now like everyone else is build the best one year roster we can and worry about next year when it comes around.

Yeah pretty much. People are freaking out over losing a bunch of juniors and seniors off a team that quit in the SECCG and the CFP. If you definitely want to see a repeat of the last two years you should be upset at losing all these guys. If you want to see something different, even if it ends up being worse, what is happening is necessary.

Rooting for a University to win a decision over money is so hard for me.

Don't look at it as rooting for UW. Look at it as rooting for a just outcome in a legal dispute. The law is (or should be) blind. You sign a contact, you uphold your end of the deal.

Don't count on UW doing anything, they are going after his former QB Noah Fifita, Arizona, who isn't in the portal

If this is the case for 6 million for the UW QB it will show us how much teeth the new clearinghouse system which was part of the House Settlement. It stated no cap on NIL but the NIL deals can only be approved if they meet fair market value for the player. I have yet to see anyone close to that but if approved players are going to demand more.

There is no fair market value established.

There is no teeth. This is going to take a lawsuit, filed by the Univ of Washington against the ex-Wash QB, LSU for tampering, and possibly Lane Kiffin. And hopefully more schools start filing lawsuits against other schools.

Only then will this crap get regulated in a meaningful capacity

This all started with a lawsuit, so it has to end with a lawsuit.

Technically there is by the clearing house already which like the NFL will be based off what other players in the same position are getting.

Unless they are just super talented. Kind of like the michigan center we just took.

Come on that guy is not super talented. He might turn out to be good but it's not like he is a can't miss prospect. LOL.
