Am I still wrong that DeBoer is going to fill up 75-80% of his staff with his buddies?

Most of his staff at Washington had been with him for a while…and most of ‘em were his buddies…and he went 25-3 at a Power 5 school, won a conference championship, and played for a national championship. Maybe his buddies are pretty good coaches?

You know what? If they came to Alabama to play for a man instead of a brand, and they're bugging out before they've even been on the practice field with the new guy, screw 'em.

You’re making up scenarios in fantasy land. No one knows how it went down with T Rob.

It’s possible DeBoer wanted to interview potential candidates and bowl cut swooped in before KD even had a chance to sit down with him.

Maybe T Rob was asking for way too much money or maybe KD wanted to go another direction.

We don’t know the details.

Im more concerned with keeping this roster in tact so we can be great in year 1. IMO that’s more important than anything for the future…I thought T Rob would be the hire to accomplish that but I didn’t truly want him based on his own merits.

If Saban wasn’t going to give him the DC job before retiring then that should tell everyone something. I don’t think he was.

Jeff Allen confirmed back (responding to Nick Gentry tweet that if Jeff wasn’t retained he was coming up there to fight everyone)

No need to come “fight everyone” @nickbgentry! It’s all good! It’s Roll Tide forever with me! Beyond thankful to have the opportunity to serve Coach DeBoer and watch him lead this program! RTR! Go Bama!

Uhhhh…Frick’em

Looks like those freshmen corners might get their wish with PT. Next man up.

He was really good in certain action but I’m not losing any sleep over a former Ragin Cajun.

The guys leaving are just creating opportunities for our other talented players.

How these guys aren’t even giving Debeor Spring Practice before deciding to leave is mind blowing

So now we have zero experienced CBs coming back. Sweet…

Bet UDub's best corner in the portal comes here. Takes some of the sting off losing a guy I was really high on in 2024.

Hoping we don't lose more guys...

This would shock me. DeBoer hasn’t hired a single guy that has SEC experience yet besides the two he retained.

I think outside of us hiring Kirby a lot of these guys that are leaving were gone as soon as Saban hung it up.

Would be nice if we can land Muhammad out of the portal. Fingers crossed on Downs, but seems like a toss up.

Yeah, besides the guy who was an off-field assistant for his dad at Ole Miss in the mid- 2010s

They would have left even if it was Kirby tbh.

Who do we have left to hire? Offense is sowed up, correct? DB coach, LB and OLB coach?

And? I don't see the issue.

The issue is you deleted a thread that predicting exactly what happened and said you were protecting me from ridicule because I was so wrong. There was no way he was only going to hire his buddies. Lol

So you think a new head coach at Alabama should only go out and hire people he doesn't know and spend the entire first year figuring out how a group of people who don't know each other should mesh? I don't know what you do for a living, but it's pretty clear you've never run a staff of people.

And PowHound thinks that DeBoer is somehow simultaneously Harsin AND Dabo.

And then we've got the dipshits who think Kiffin isn't a good head coach.

Damn, there are some really stupid people here.
