A&M announced Wes McGriff like last week and put him in the directory, only for him to return to Auburn.

A&M announced Mcgriff hire and a week later he had not signed his contract and said the other day he was staying at the barn so it happens.

Didn't Ballou come from Indiana while KD was there?

TRob was about to leave regardless of KD. It was more his decision than KD pushing him out.

Ya in 2019, Ballou was with KD in Indiana while he was OC and Ballou was Director of Athletic Performance.
Dr Matt Rhea was there too and has already fully endorsed KD replacing Saban.

That’s the truth. He’s been clamoring for the day that Saban retired so I’m sure he’s been celebrating hardcore for the last 4-5 days now.

It makes me very happy that Saban ended his career 5-1 against the rat, and went out by beating him and ending any shot at a 3-peat.

This. Hope that we can beat them again in Tuscaloosa this year. Will be tough but we could feasibly play them twice with the new playoff format.

Per Charlie Potter:
quote:

Barring something unforeseen, Washington tight ends coach Nick Sheridan is expected to join Kalen DeBoer’s staff at Alabama, BOL has learned. Sheridan worked with DeBoer the last two years in Seattle and also coached tight ends at Indiana in 2019 when DeBoer was the OC of the Hoosiers. Sheridan has OC/passing game coordinator experience, and he has also spent some time in the South with time at South Florida and Tennessee (GA from 2014-16).

To recap, the Alabama offensive staff puzzle is seemingly missing one piece – a running backs coach. We reported yesterday that Washington assistant coaches Ryan Grubb (OC/QB), JaMarcus Shephard (WR) and Scott Huff (OL) are all expected to join DeBoer in Tuscaloosa.

I am surprised Freeze was unable to land TRob. I will assume TRob didn't want anything to do with the barn.

I agree, I think he is botha strong coach and recruiter and will help keep more of the offensive roster in tact.

Georgia is in a much better position than Auburn right now. The barn is still in major transition.
