Sounds like Enos didn't like the long hours at Bama

Possibly. Or his wife preferred the opportunity to move to Coral Gables instead of Northport.

Seems more like a recruiting trip for Bama's newest onfield coach than Maryland taking care of their new OC.

Not a thread of Bama gear on. Looks like he's gone to me.

First off, I won't STFU...ever. Understood? 22 post count? lol as if that means a frikn thing jackleg. Some post certainly need a link but not ever single opinion stated needs a link provided especially when a 2 second search provides The info desired.

I did the search and all I put was Stoutland's name and up popped the info so snap back to reality keyboard tough guy. But you're entitled to your opinion and your response as am I

From another board:
quote:

Nothing earth shattering but thought I’d pass it along. Just talked to a former offensive player who was at UA with Sark. I will just say it was a skill position. Asked him what he thought about the hire. He said he will help Tua understand some of the intricacies of the position and offense. On his own he said Sark will do what Saban asks with less pushback than Locks and Kiffin. I asked what he thought of him as a coach and he responded “loved him." The particular player is a close friend of my family. He has told me plenty of things that are not glowing about coaches who have been on the staff.

Another one:
quote:

I received this in a group text this morning and it was from a former 49er from the 1980’s. He’s a huge Bama fan , put a son through UA and I respect his opinion big time.

"I predict a year from now Bama nation will love this hire. You heard it here first. Based on resumes of the candidates I’ve seen mentioned he is by far the best. Also based on resumes he is a huge upgrade over Locks.

"This year alone he had the 6th ranked offense in the nfl in yds per game and 10th in scoring working with basically 2 practice squad guards due to injury and a right tackle that checked out after signing a big contract. Matt Ryan and Julio both still had arguably career years.

"Keep in mind that is at the nfl level not college. We’re talking about competing against the greatest football minds on the planet and he was arguably considered one of the best based on numbers. We are talking about a level of competition where even Saban was much less successful posting a 15-17 record. We’re talking about checkers and chess.

"It’s Unfair to judge Sark on his 10 day stint as OC at Bama as he was thrust into running a system that wasn’t his and systems are what it’s all about. Also he was basically working with a RB at QB and still hung 31 in the natty against a great Clemson D.

"Allegedly Tua and players are giddy about the hire which reminds me that he is also a top shelf recruiter and we all know the importance of cruitin in cfb. I’m sure Saban considers this a can’t miss hire especially considering the talent Bama returns on offense. I predict next years offense will eclipse every offensive record held at Bama. Trust the process boys. RTR!!!"

Ok but the whole HE COACHED THE 6TH RANKED OFFENSE IN THE NFL thing is so incredibly dumb it pretty much discredits the utterer's entire life.

Did you want me to post a link to another board? Also remembered there were some reports that we couldn’t post word for word in here and didn’t know if Bama Insider was one of them?

With Brent Key leaving, a few names to keep in mind for the vacant #Alabama O-line job: Eagles OL coach Jeff Stoutland (long-time Saban guy but not sure he'd want to be a college coach again); Louisiana OC/OL coach Rob Sale (ex Bama asst) & Bills off. asst William Vlachos.

Stoutland has only been an OL coach since 1993 (save for his one game interim head coach role with Miami). I’m not sure head coach aspirations are something that he possesses.
