Coach and AD relations are important. Byrne has a great reputation and coaches like him. Maybe Sark is more comfortable with Byrne.

Don't get my hopes up about Sark. It would be poetic for the only other coach besides Saban to lead the team out of the tunnel since 2006 to get the job. If he was anywhere else I'd feel more like it's a real possibility...at least he isn't a Texas alum I guess.

If we wanted everything to continue just like it had for the last 16 years, Sark is the guy to do it. DeBoer i can get behind, he had won everywhere, but i think everything would have to change to the way he does things. I think Sark has copied Saban while modifying the process slightly. DeBoer is a totally different animal.

I know it's been 17 years, but we believe everything anyone says as long as it validates our first choice for a coach.
