His recruiting classes finished the last two cycles ranked #4 and #7 overall.

He also turned Bo Nix into a really good college QB.

Lanning would be a bit of a risk, but I think he's a younger version of Kirby.

This. And at his age, if things went sideways at Alabama, he is still young enough to recover his career somewhere else.

What's the timeline? What's the guess for how fast they hire someone? Should have a thread for that..LOL

Sark is gonna be a hard pull I feel like. But losing bo Davis might've been the first sign. I feel like it's either kiffin or lanning. With demeco being the wildcard.

I’m guessing quick just based off portal but not so quick as to make a bad decision.
Byrne is about to embark on a make it or break it decision at Alabama.

Would love to target Sark, but don’t see how we could pull him away from Texas.

After all the "Saban to Texas!" rumors of years past, it would be hilarious if we stole Sark away from the Horns.

*Calm down, Horns fans. We realize it ain't happening. But the poetic justice would be fun.

Obviously it is neither one of these guys but how would the board feel about Todd Monken or Jesse Minter the Michigan DC.

Just heard he is going to address the media. Not sure when. But sounded soon.

It’s got to be quick or we will lose the recruiting class. Surely Byrne and Nick have thought this through

I just realized it is going to be Ty Simpson's dad.

No matter how good a coordinator you are, I don't think we can hire a guy who has never been a HC.

Any truth to the rumor his retirement is related to a health issue in the family?

It has to be someone who is currently a headcoach and a successful one.

This job's too big for anyone else.

I’m concerned about the roster sticking together and of course Ryan Williams.

Need a big hire to solidify recruiting and the current players. Need an elite recruiter.

The biggest decision of his career for sure. He never had to worry about football with the GOAT on the sidelines, now he has to make the right hire

You have to at least put a feeler out to Demeco right?

I don’t think so. I think the replacement is coaching in the SEC right now.
