Yes it is Ohio State. They were the reason behind the tablet thing.

Next head coach at Alabama:

I think he’s staying around to fundraise and probably to help keep the current roster as intact as possible, but that’s probably it.

Normally the retiring coach gets out of the way but I can Nick playing a huge part in this process while trying to hold the roster in place.

He would be like a GM going all the way to the season start and them maybe backing a way.

Hindsight I wish Nick had stayed in place and around July told the AD and the world 2024 would be his last season. Then everyone associated with Bama could get ready for change (players and coaches etc). New recruits would have known the deal before signing with Bama.

Like it or not but we're screwed in so many ways now.

If Schumann is in play, and I’m not saying he isn’t, why not take the DC job last year? He would have been up to speed on Tuscaloosa and could step in easily. I know this was an unknown last year but my point is, if he didn’t want to work for Bama and Saban last year, why would he gamble his career now? If he can’t cut it, he’s a coordinator forever.

Exactly. This reeks of Tommy Rees being the coach to calm the fans. No way would I take a job with the goat in the building.

Mario would actually do really well here. Most don’t realize how cheap Miami is with their assistant budget and how hard it is to recruit to a fanbase that doesn’t care and a stadium that sucks.

He lost a game because he forgot to kneel. I'd say that shows worse decision-making skills then banging a booster's wife.

Rita finally gave in and gave her consent. After 17 years of delay, Rich Rod finally gets his chance!

Damn I wish I was "He who remains" so I could see all the coaching hires.

Other people are stopping disasters, I am trying to see what happens if Bama hires Wes Welker to replace Saban.

Being named Mike, he's either gonna kill the program or frick a secretary. Possibly both.

Definitely both. And it'll be revealed when he pays the bill for her fake tits with his university credit card. Such is the way of Mike.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Glen Shumann might be one. It also wouldn’t be that big of a surprise with the success that larger programs have had at hiring assistants.

This makes sense, especially with Saban still fairly involved with the program. Gives Schumann some training wheels for the HC role and provides some stability in recruiting.

That is the scenario that makes the most sense for Saban to stick around and mentor.

Once this thread ends. We should have a "New President Thread" since it's an election year.

This board would respond really well to open criticism to all candidates.

Is there any way Bama could go with some sort of hybrid coaching system with say Saban as defensive HC and say Belichick as Offensive HC? Would free Saban as he could concentrate on only defense.

One could dream right, lol
