Bama is only considering talented coaches

To be fair, many of our recent coaching hires were less than impressive... Saban was the lottery ticket.

This talk of even giving Rees an interview annoys me. He is barely holding onto his job as OC, and he's never been a head coach. Now he's capable of leading the best / most talented team in the country? Nah. I'd much rather see TRob has head coach before Rees

at this point, I'd be perfectly ok with DeBoer. The recruiting stuff is a concern, but the guy can certainly coach

Kind of surprising I haven't seen a butchering of Sarkisian.

It’s because it’s a phonetic spelling. Sar-ki-si-an. Most people can guess by sounding it out and spell it right.

I wonder how many n-bombs those notably color-blind Bostonians going to drop next year because that team is far from being good.

It's OK though because they're physically incapable of going with the hard -r.

He's absolutely in the mix. McElroy just said on JOX that Byrne is conducting interviews today in person and virtually.

I think we get a Coach today or no later than tomorrow

Our recruiting will drop some regardless. No one on our “list” is Saban when it comes to recruiting.
I like him too, I think he’s a damn good ball coach. But can he CEO the behemoth that is Alabama? We’ll see how that goes for any of the candidates

Unless he's working some angle with his agent, Sexton.

This. Saban was a unicorn with the ability to coach and recruit. Get a coach that can coach the X’s and O’s, and you can get the right staff to recruit. Plus, Saban has said he isn’t going anywhere which can help. I just want a defense that doesn’t get lost on misdirection.

It's next to Azerbaijan, turkey and Iran. Its a small Christian nation that recently got into a war with Azerbaijan. Some of our best immigrants are Armenians, but they usually settle in California like Glendale.

So much fake BS posted the past 2 days, I checked to make sure this was real.

It is. DeBoer’s appearance has been cancelled.

I just listened to an interview with him and he sounds like a kinder, softer Saban. He hit all the things Saban talks about, mental and physical toughness, overcoming adversity, grind, commitment to excellence but he doesn’t do it with the intensity that Saban did.

He sounds like a humble guy. Appreciative of his journey from a WR in college at Sioux Falls to high school coach to NAIA, to D2, to D1.

He may not work because of a cultural fit, but he sounds like a guy that can adapt to whatever situation he is in and succeed.

The upside is pretty big with him IMHO.
