I heard between 5 to 10 JSU players are going with hin to Colorado.

Trey Sanders might end up there.

I saw Deion Sanders tell his JSU players on his way out don't get in the portal because you might not find another school. He said the portal this year is going to be CRAZY.

That doesn't apply to Cohen.

Cohen most likely is going to the highest bidder. I think many kids will do this in order to make a quick 6 figure pay day.

By my estimated count, if you add up the seniors who are out of eligibility, the seniors who will not take their Covid year, the predicted draft early entrants, and the 9 players already in the portal, that’s about 29 players. I think we will try and sign around 30 this year. We might lose several more in the portal, we could have roster turnover of 35-40 players into next year.

So Deion doesn't want any of his JSU players? I'm sure they feel special.

I mean, JSU has done well but they are still a second tier FCS team. Most of those players would struggle to make it at a P5 program. He’s keeping it real. Lots of players jump in the portal and then end up with nowhere to go.

Really thinking about the highly ranked guys he recruited and made such a big deal about.

I just hope we get healthier guys this year. Harrell was a waste and Ricks was awful.

Cohen saw the writing on the wall, Booker was going to take his spot next year.

Booker was already playing a lot in Cohen's spot. Booker will get all the bowl reps now.

I'm sure Deion wasn't talking to ALL of his JSU players. Rather he was talking to most of them.

If Booker was going to take Cohens spot, couldn't he slide over to right guard since Ekiyor is gone? Makes no since to me. Sure hope he's not leaving for money like someone mentioned.

I used to think recruiting took slight importance over coaching.....But with the portal and NIL, I want better coaching over recruiting now days. The portal and NIL are going to change college football greatly and hording talent is going to be a thing of the past. Saban has always relied heavy on having great talent to win. But I've never thought he could have went to a smaller team and out-coach other coaches with medium talent

Booker will be a tackle next year. He and Latham.

No one can do that on a consistent basis, period. That includes Bear Bryant, and everyone else. Occasionally it can be done, but not consistently. You seem a little too eager to see Saban gone.

Yeah, there is no test for intelligence OR rationality to post on this forum. Which is why many decent posters have just quit. This place lures in the Finebaum caller of "fans".

How absolutely imbecilic does a person have to be to be chomping at the bit to fire a 7 time National Championship winning coach who is 2 years removed from his last championship and two key injuries away from likely winning it last year, just because we didn't have the season this year that they wanted?

Tweeted about it too, asking if he could join them. Interesting.

I'll honestly say my honest opinion on Coach Prime here but I don't have the time so, y'all can wait

For a fan from a rival school, it would make sense. Otherwise, maybe some Bama fans can't remember what it was like before Saban came here. I loathe Paul Finebaum, by the way. He's always rabble roused fan bases in order to draw attention to himself. He's not a friend of any program.

Tennessee has two four star running backs that hit the portal this morning.

Whitehead and Williams-Thomas

Yep. They opened pandora's box. Going to be a mess with a lot of disappointed players and families.

This has happened every year the portal has existed. It's almost like all of this athlete empowerment crap is actually counterproductive without a CBA in place.

It would be surprising to me if Cohen got a 6 figure pay day, based on his play this year. Maybe based on last year's performance. The barn recruited him heavily, and I'm sure they'll cast a wide net trying to restock their team.
