You really think that? LSU will more than likely be the best defense you face all year... I understand y'all think very highly of Tau but I mean you can't honestly think you're going to blow out LSU in Tiger Stadium...at night...come on now

Your defense is good, no denying that. But Tua put 3 TDs on Georgia without even playing in the first half. And yes, they prepared for Tua according to Kirby. They had prepared for passing QBs before, hell including their last game. Tua facing better defenses won't suddenly make his passes stop being so insanely accurate.

Nothing about LSU's offense looks like a threat to Bama. So even if you keep our offense in check, I don't think you could shut it down. Even if you could, we've got Waddle returning punts and Jacobs returning kicks. Both are dynamic. Bama is piling up NOTs again this season.

Here's to hoping you guys put up a fight, for your own sake, but don't get the Tiger Rant talk you into false hope that's just going to wreck the rest of November for you after the Bama game.

As John Doe of the Unofficial Assistants said Tua has already passed the biggest test. LSU is shaping up to be a nice team but they aren't what UGA was last year in the national championship game. I'm trying to be respectful to LSU but they aren't prepared for this guy Tua. I don't think you can prepare for him.

Literally have no worries about the LSU game.

LSU has taken us down to the wire every game in BR since Saban got here. And we’ve been pretty fortunate to escape with wins a few times.

Y’all are fricking nuts if you think this year will be a cake walk.

We didn't have Tua either.

I didn't say a cakewalk.....they are a tough scrappy team who will challenge us especially on the defensive side of the ball.....but as I said, there is no fricking way LSU outscores Bama.

I believe both Miami and Aubrin were overrated as hell.

I agree. I watched most of the Auburn v Washington game. Auburn is a very flawed team that hasn't established their offensive identity. I think they will improve and be much better the second half of the season much like last year. I saw Auburn show some flashes in the running game. If they shore that running game up they will be better off.

I don't think you can prepare for him.

I'm sure he has tendencies and such that DC's like Aranda will find, but finding them and actually stopping them are two things altogether. He can make passes in the pocket and he can make passes on the run. Bring the house and he'll throw a slant right across the middle. If you lockdown the WRs, he will throw them open. Even if you somehow lock Tua down, you still have to account for our stable of RBs. Pick your poison.

I'm not one to usually get over my skies like this, but College Football's only hope for this year is that Tua and other offensive starters suffer major injuries.

LSU has a really good defense again this year. Death Valley at night is a tough place to play and the last few games have been close.

But I don't anticipate a close one this year if Tua walks out on that field. Probably be over by halftime. Not trying to be funny or disrespectful. JMHO.

LSU being 3-0 has more to do with Miami being crappy and Auburn being derpy than LSU being great. A good defense goes a long ways.

I simply see no way LSU scores on Alabama. They’ll be hard-pressed to match even the 2.9 per carry they had against Auburn and no QB on Earth is gonna do anything against Bama completing 40%.

Saban tends to go into a shell against LSU, so maybe Tua doesn’t throw 3 or 4 TDs in the first half. I see a 27-0, 34-3 kind of game. Maybe LSU gets a broken play or special teams TD/. As it stands now, no chance to win.

But; a lot can happen between now and November. I reserve the right to change my opinion.

Should have known not to come here and ask for a logical football conversation, the fact people are shrugging off LSU’s success thus far is pretty funny. I guess we will see how LSU shapes up

Will make sure this thread is bookmarked

Now don’t get me wrong, I like posting on this board just thought I would get a little less bias responses

You don’t want logic, you want validation.

Logic:

Alabama has one of the best offenses in the country.
LSU has a great defense.

LSU has one of the worst offenses in the country.
Alabama has a great defense.

Alabama has a Heisman-level QB surrounded by 5-star talent at every position. Alabama wins a lot more in Baton Rouge than they lose.

LSU defense will get worn down being on the field that much. No way they stop Tua all game. Bama slowly but surely pulls away and the final score is a comfortable margin.

Most Bama fans are underestimating Tua's intellectual acumen let alone the fans of opposing fans. This guy isn't just an "arm." What LSU will do on defense Tua will counter.

I really don't think LSU's defense will be on the field for long drives. I don't think we will wear them down as much as we will dissect them.

Your high horse is fictitious.

Lots of people here respect our good conference foes. Probably 4 different West teams can beat Alabama if we don't bring our A game.

But this Game of the Century talk is nonsense. That was a special set of circumstances - 1 vs 2 (or similar). This is 1 versus "better than expected."

Your OP was bad and your thread is bad. Stickying this thread is to your own peril. Toughest games in our future are likely TexAM and MissSt, and then LSU.

You're way more likely to get that here than on the Tiger Rant.

Your success so far is great. Good for LSU, really.

Okay, you want to have a football discussion? Explain to me what LSU does offensively that I should be worried about. Because in the two LSU games I've watched and in looking at the stats, I see no way this offense finds any success moving the ball on Bama's defense. And don't tell me you put up 22 on Auburn so you will on us, because our defense has better players and coaches than Auburn.

I don't doubt you have a top 20 defense in the nation, but I also don't doubt that we have a top 5 offense.

I'd like to point out that a quick glance tells me you made a thread on the Tiger Rant and in that opening post you mentioned (paraphrasing off of memory) that Bama feared LSU. What do we have to fear? A QB who can't complete 50% of his passes or throw for 7 yards per attempt? A running back not near as good as Leonard Fournette who we laughably shut down? You can't beat this Bama team with an offense that weak. 112th in the nation in total offense, 81st in scoring offense.
