You have factor in that Milroe was unstoppable at times. Georgia and LSU would have been completely different games with a "normal QB"

Georgia's secondary was bad when 'Bama played them, so a passing QB would have lit them up most likely.

LSU's defense was even worse, and the RB's would have probably eaten in place of Milroe, especially after opening the run game with the pass.

And we saw the best and worst of Milroe in two halves of football vs UGA. One second he can't be stopped, the next he can't even make a first down, allowing Georgia to come all the way back.

I don't care if Saban was still here....without the money to compete with these Super NIL teams we won't be anything but a minor league to them...develop players and watch them leave to $.
If they leave NIL as is, (no rules, no restrictions), our days might be over!

It's 2025 and you still can't even spell the coach's name meet me at eureka gardens, we're definitely fighting. I'll be the one with dreads and gold teeth, so just pull up whenever you're ready.

Well he's at Ol Miss. AND they are now on par with our program for the first time in 55 years

He hasn't even made it to a conference championship game. Do you have any sense of what Ole Miss put into NIL this season or how favorably their schedule broke out? They were preseason number six. They were a favorite to make the playoff. This season was a disaster for them.

Of course it's no surprise that you don't know this given that you can't even spell Kiffin's name or Ole Miss.

When has Kiffin ever won anything? He had a schedule set up for an SEC title, a huge transfer portal class of talented guys, a veteran QB and crazy WR talent, and he couldn’t do any better than 9-3. Gave Kentucky their only SEC win. Lost to LSU. Lost to Florida.

Kiffin has been figured out by several coaches now. Over the past 3 years the recipe for beating the offensive genius is to take away the explosive play, the deep ball and make him drive the field over and over to score. Eventually he gets frustrated and starts trying trick plays and overthinking things and letting “analytics” override common sense by going for it on 4th and 2 from his own 30. On offense, go run heavy and burn clock and shorten the game further reducing his opportunities to flash his offensive genius card and feed his ego. Go back and look at any of his losses over that period and you will see some slight variant of that blueprint.
And I know it sounds like I don’t like Lane, but that’s not true. I think he’s a great OC and he’s come a long way as a head coach but he still has that flashy streak in him and if you take away his toys he gets pissed and loses his cool.
As Bama’s head coach, he would be lambasted for losing the same type of game we lost this year. Maybe not the UT game but he would replace that loss with South Carolina.

I’m not saying Kiffin would have actually turned it down, but when he was asked hypothetically (Saban was still HC) if he would be interested in the Bama job when Saban retires, he said something to the effect of “It would be the biggest mistake of my career.”

I’m pretty sure Saban wouldn’t have signed off on Kiffin following him either.

We got who we got and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do with his own players.

Could Kiffin have gotten more out of Milroe? Yes, I believe he could have.
As good as his mind is, I’m not sure Lane could have done much with Milroe.

He just doesn’t process information well. Especially on the road.

Pretty much all of it. Even the last few years of Saban’s tenure we experienced the same issues. I have a strong suspicion once we rid ourselves of the lank crew the better off we will be.

This was a horrifically disorganized, uninspired mess of a football team with zero improvement over 13 games.

And yet it was still better than Sabans first year in 07 and he didn't bring a suspended player off the bench to try to salvage a win against ULM. Grow up bitch tits.

We tried passing from deep inside our territory with a few seconds left. It was intercepted for a td.

Its not at all. First year coaches in the program. You SOFT toddler tantrum fans have truly gaslit yourselves into thinking Bama had the 2016 roster. Call Pawwwwl and cry about it. We arent firing the coach because low impulse control, low IQ, soft fans got their egos bruised.
