Who gives a frick what Kirby Smart thinks and those pumpkins from up north. Hire the man. Bring back the glory days of dominating defense and tell them to kiss our collective crimson asses!

Yeah if Pruitt is off the table, I really have no idea what direction it goes now.

Look I want Pruitt back. You want Pruitt back. Saban wants Pruitt back. Even Pruitt wants Pruitt back at Alabama. That being said I'm not getting my hopes up until the NCAA clears him. We cannot hire him with a potential show cause hanging over his head. And I'm not sure how we wait until April or May for the NCAA to make a decision because I've seen it reported several times that is the earliest he's meeting with them. Maybe they somehow make a decision earlier or let Saban know that he won't be hit with one but barring that I don't see how he gets hired.

From what I’ve heard and read, our compliance department has signed off on JP coming back. As for the SEC office/ commissioner, they can’t decide who can or can’t be hired. They listen to complaints and then make suggestions. The complaints are basically coming from UGA and Kirby and the Viles up on the hill. They can both go kick rocks!! Compliance may have already spoken to the NCAA or they feel pretty confident in their argument that JP has served his time (out of college coaching for two seasons) in comparison to other cases of “show causes” and or they may have suggested some recruiting restrictions on JP to help sway NCAA into giving thumbs up.
Grantham as DC and Gase as OC CONFIRMED. Alabama frickED. Sky FALLING. Saban doing this as a long con so that his hero, Pete Golding, is hailed as a savior upon his return to Alabama. Golding as DC FOREVER.
Connect the dots and OPEN YOUR MINDS.

It may have been mentioned, Rodney Orr said last night a possible name to keep an eye on is Derek Ansley. Has worked for Saban and was Pruitt’s DC at Tennessee. I could see him working with Pruitt ,if he comes on as an analyst , and not feel he has to look over his shoulder.

Saban is breaking the mold. Offensive coaches now have "passing game coordinators", etc.

This reminds me of watching one of Bama's games years ago. Mal Moore was in the booth, and commented on a few plays (it must have been a closed circuit game). We ran the ball straight up the middle for 1 or 2 tough yards, and Mal enthusiastically said,"That's it! We need some more of that!". It just struck me as being funny as hell.

You hire Joe Kines to stop the inside trap, not to run it.

This guy lives across from my buddy’s parents who swears up and down by 3 yards and a cloud of dust football. By all accounts he has hated the offense for the last few years.

It wouldn't be sexy to recruits. But a team that came out with a heavy running offense and some tough players would steam roll most people. Reason is everyone runs a spread offense and their defenses get soft. They couldn't handle having to play disciplined football and they'd tire very fast of a pounding run game.

And our defense would not have a spread offense to practice against.

If someone wants to go ahead an announce who our new coordinators are going to be please do. It’s good enough for me. I will take it.

Former Alabama player Jake Long is returning to Alabama as an “upper level defensive analyst.” He was a GA with Alabama in 2017, Pruitt’s last season at Alabama. He also worked at Alabama under Golding, too.

A perfect example of why you can't listen to all these Twitter guys who claim to have sources. A take in two tweets.

They intentionally make these predictions so they can walk it back later and say they were right at the time but things changed.

I’ll puke if Todd Grantham is our DC. I understand that no one really knows at this point, but it seems concern over that possibility has grown this week.

If we don’t hire Jeremy Pruitt while those assholes in West Georgia have 2 head coaches in their top 2 major sports with a history of major NCAA problems…..I’m going to lose my shite.
