He is a great runner and as long as we play teams that can’t stop that we will be fine. But if we run into a team that can, we have to rely on his arm. Hopefully if that game comes he rises to the occasion.

Millions of people died because of Covid.
If Freeze gotta weird case why is he around?
Man this OL was amazing. This 2020 squad and the 2012 unit are two of the best you can see in CFB.

Imagine thinking players are spoiled for wanting a cut of the pie in a billion dollar organization that they do the extremely demanding and health risking labor for.
I know everyone loves what Burrow did the next season, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen QB play look as satisfying and dominant as what Tua did. CFB GOAT QB to me, he was robbed of the Heisman.
This thread is just further evidence of how soft our fanbase has become

Fines and forfeits  taking yourselves way too seriously

College sports are about passion. Let fans have their fun and express it. It sucks to lose, but it’s funny that beating Bama is so exciting for people that they rush the field.

Quit complaining about other people enjoying life.

Oh wow. I’ve never heard this story. Where did you get it from?
Tua Tagovailoa
Bryce Young
Mac Jones
AJ McCarron
Jalen Hurts
Jake Coker
Blake Sims
Greg McElroy
Jalen Milroe
John Parker Wilson

I understand the roster he had around him, but Tua’s numbers are insane and on film he was the best too. I know in 2020 Mac had a higher completion percentage, but I challenge anyone to find me a guy who routinely dropped perfect dimes like Tua did. Highest career passer rating in FBS history, highest TD rate in FBS history. Robbed of a Heisman, but was Consensus AA, Maxwell winner, Walter Camp winner, etc.
Booker and Hulk are gonna maul folks

Good, it’s long overdue. Make them employees and not students (thus resolving the “pay other sports” issue) and get a CBA. The NCAA, conferences, and schools have taken advantage of unpaid labor for too long. It was one thing when it was a bunch of students getting together to play a silly little game, but it hasn’t been that in many years. It is a billion dollar organization that pulls ratings on national television.

NIL, as it was supposed to be, was a fine idea. It was always heinous that guys could be told they cannot profit off of their OWN name. However, with no guidelines as to how it was implemented in a competitive environment, it has become a mess.

Contracts, salary caps, etc. are the only way to fix it and achieve some form of parity. Rip the bandaid off, form the Super League, and let’s just get that started instead of this slow burn towards that inevitability.

Definitely something to consider.

I’m fairly confident that you can’t just decline a bid to the SECCG, so there is really nothing to consider.
I say open the gates and see what happens
I think Hale/Law/Prentice start, but if we get RW back and Bond goes to Texas then I think you see Williams often, if not outright starting.

It’s hard to imagine Schumann leaving Kirby if it’s not for Saban, BUT to spread some hopium:

Bama is his alma mater. Saban is still around. If he takes the job, he gets 100% of the credit for what the defense accomplishes instead of sharing it with Saban or Smart.

I think we’d have to make him the highest paid coordinator in CFB as well, which we have the resources to do.
