Hurts had lost 2 games before the NC against UGA. One of them against Clemson where he actually ran for a score to put us ahead late. The other was against a hot Auburn team that also beat UGA that year. It’s kinda hard to bench a kid that barely loses. I understand Tua was better but what does that press conference look like?

Dude, just give it up. It's OK to admit you're wrong.

Really tired of reading how “Milroe is our best option at QB.” Someone will have to tell me how playing Ty, Mack, or even Lonergan would be worse than what we saw last night. Worst case scenario is they do exactly what Milroe did.

Yes he should have but coaches no longer have that kind of hammer in an NIL/portal world.

Agreed. People love to believe the dumbest shite.
Milroe just sucks. I think he's one of those people that nods along as you explain things to him, so you're surprised when you learn he doesn't understand any of it. Or, at the very least, can't execute it at game time.

No more Jalen quarterbacks at Bama from here on.
If it will get rid of this current Jalen, I'm on board.

Yall are repeating an internet rumor like it’s a fact. You honestly think Jalen has taken 2 coaches, one is the GOAT, and the other is pretty respectable, and held both of these guys and the program hostage? Sounds a little crazy. Maybe both coaches think Jalen gives the team the best chance to win? Sounds crazy I know
A commentary on the overall NIL situation:
What if I donate a lot of money through NIL, and will be for the foreseeable future?
What if I sign players to NIL agreements to promote my brand?
My players are not sitting on the bench or I might just turn off the spigot.

What am I wrong about? Please explain.
Edit: I’m just trying to keep some of you folks off of message board genius with these stupid conspiracy theories. Don’t mistake it for defending the performance of Milroe last night. For the second time this season, I thought we needed a change at quarterback

This is actually a reasonable explanation of what could be happening, not only here, but all around college football. Too many hands trying to steer the ship is definitely not a good thing

Hey now nothing wrong with the name Jalen, my son's name is Jalen ;)

It’s a great name. But because you named your son Jalen, he’ll never be able to play quarterback at Alabama. Sorry, I didn’t make the rules

Deboer didn't have to keep dude in the game last night.
Are we sure about that? How many players are tied to LANK? Milroe is the face of that ridiculous bull shite.
I’m not saying someone is telling deboer to keep them in, but maybe he thinks we are better off riding out this season with Jalen and then move on next season rather than piss of the LANK crew. Now if Jalen returns, I flat out won’t watch. It’s outrageously bad qb play.

If he returns and starts hopefully no one goes to the games.

“There was nothing we could do about it. Jalen Milroe was a made guy and DeBoer wasn’t. And we just had to sit there and take it.”

Jm is the only option until he decides he’s not.

OK
So, your story is Kalen really has no say in the starting QB at this time?
All due to backers of Lank?

I wonder where Milroe’s draft stock stands at this moment? I don’t see how he will get drafted high enough for him to not come back for another year.

I don’t know, NFL teams have been taking on so many projects lately (and QB play in the league has suffered).
