Died today at the age of 76.

I thought he died on the first.
He will definately be missed. Had a long and successful career.

He's the reason why Stallone used "Italian Stallion." He played with Johnny Musso in football.

Carl was a former DE/ linebacker, played football at San Diego State and for the Raiders.

Stallone said when Weathers was auditioning for Rocky, he told the producers he'd do much better reading lines if they would get a real actor to read lines with him not knowing that Stallone was Rocky and the screenwriter.
Imagine having those kind of balls. It's why Stallone cast him. That and being knocked out by Joe Frazier while sparring. Joe did make a cameo in the film, though in that lime green leisure suit.

We can make it football related. Weathers played football at San Diego state for the legendary Don Coryell. He was a solid athlete before he became a beloved actor.
