I think that we would all agree that DeBoer is on a short leash after yesterday. And I do think that he probably will be let go if major changes aren’t made immediately. But how many great coaches are there in college football right now ? Kirby, Cignetti, Lanning, I’d put Whittingham in that category. This is the issue right now. There aren’t any more Sabans, Urban Meyers, Bob Stoops out there anymore.

Cignetti
Lanning
Smart

That’s my list. That’s the only elite coaches available. And Smart is regressing which is normal after being at a program for 10 plus years.

He isn't on too short of a leash unless we pay around 65 million to fire him next year. Then be who knows how many millions to hire another staff.

This is what I’m saying. He obviously doesn’t fit at Alabama. But we’re stuck with him unless he leaves on his own accord. And then, there aren’t many proven great coaches left in CFB anymore. The sport that we grew up watching is officially gone.

I don’t think that Kirby is regressing at all. They lost a wild game to a terrific Ole Miss team that could end up winning the whole thing. Georgia is easily the best program in the conference right now.

Totally agree. They have a lot coming back next year as well as good class coming in. You don't double up on SEC championships if you are regressing. Stupid take.

Not sure what makes you include Lanning as "great." The Ohio State win last year was impressive, but Sherrone Moore also beat that team. And of course then they got crushed in the rematch. Oregon's playoff run to this point means nothing - they've beaten a Sun Belt team and Texas Tech turning it over 4 times. I'll give him credit if they can beat Indiana. Lanning is still 0-3 against DeBoer, which is pretty pathetic.

Disagree. Georgia doesn’t strike fear in teams like they did a few years ago. Just my opinion of course.

You’re correct. But CFP has changed. Kirby built his program like Saban on hoarding talent and development. The transfer portal and NIL era doesn’t allow for that anymore. He can keep guys for a year that don’t play, and then when they don’t see an increased role, the will leave.

They are a combined 2-5 against Deboer.

Exactly and two of those wins came only this year.

This same KDB beat Kirby with Milroe at QB.

He just needs to learn, grow and make adjustments. If he can do that we will be fine.

A coach that focuses on running the ball and great defense will win games.

Oh good grief, Bennett, Beck and Stockton are about as far from game managers as you can get.

Two. Cignetti and Smart.

There's arguments for Lanning and Day.

We'll see what Lane can do with LSU. It could happen for him.

Dabo was a truly great coach and is still around, but he's far from great anymore.
