Maybe like 5 children a few morons that don't know that they are living in unprecedented times. Even if Saban has lost a step, and we don't know that he has yet, he's still better right now than anyone we're going to bring in. Enjoy the ride, because successes after Saban won't come as frequently, or as consistently, even if Bama remains at or near the top.

I personally don’t “prefer Saban to resign” over keeping Golding. That’s nonsense. The concern I have with keeping our coordinators (BoB moreso than Golding) is that it would raise a flag that Saban is losing his edge, and maybe even coasting a little bit when it comes to staff building. (He’s made it extremely clear he’s not coasting on roster building 
) But staff building affects player development, and we’ve seen some negatives there. Unwillingness to make changes to correct that is not great. If he’s fine with Golding as DC forever, that isn’t a great sign to me.
I’ll go on record and say I still think a change is made at DC. But there’s nothing wrong with discussing what it means if a change isn’t made.

It he doesn’t get rid of Golding I will be highly upset and ready for the end of Saban’s tenure to kick into overdrive.
Keeping Golding is giving up. It would not be defendable to keep him.
And I’m not trying to sit around here next season for the rest of the people who don’t mind him to FINALLY freak out when once again the defense is garbage when it matter and doing ridiculous shite.

I will be clear enough to say that if Golding is still DC next year, the Alabama program will have learned to accept and expect nothing more than mediocrity on the defensive side of the ball. I just don’t believe that Coach Saban will allow that to continue. I don’t. I will support Coach Saban until the very end. As many have said, he has earned the right to make his own exit when and how he wants. But if this pathetic excuse for a coach (Golding) is allowed to stay, I feel that our program will slip more and more. It has to be revamped in many ways already due to him and BOB.

Our OC and DC both suck and if Saban can't see that, its a reflection on him. The biggest reason we win games is on talent.

Bill Belichick made a colossal blunder by appointing Matt Patricia as his offensive game caller. But should he resign because of it? I don't think so.
Why Saban has kept Golding for so long is beyond me, but for now I'm assuming he's looking for a position for Golding elsewhere. Saban doesn't usually fire people and none of us should want Saban to resign. We just want him to hire a top notch DC, that's all. Let's enjoy Saban as long as we can at Alabama and keep our fingers crossed for Pruitt, Lake, Schumann et al as our next DC.

Truth is that BoB's offense scored enough to win every game. We had the lead in the 4th quarter of both losses. Pete is the bigger issue, by far.

Saban and his staff just signed 12 of the top 28 ESPN players. Smoke on that a while and tell me you think that will be so easily replaced if Saban were to be forced out, as you have suggested .

I hope he replaces Golding but as previously noted, a supposedly connected guy on TI said he's going to return.
I don't spend much time on this board anymore anyway because of so many posters bitching about the home team, but when Saban retires, and Alabama isn't a consistent yearly playoff and SEC title contender, and recruiting top 3 classes every year, it's going to be interesting to come back here and see what you guys think about things.

Watching some of these post season games and looking at defenses compared to ours. Air Force tonight is a prime example. They are disciplined, and do not miss tackles. Or take Utah’s defensive coordinator, that beat USC twice this season, and had a great game plan in the PAC 12 championship game. Go after someone like this, who wins with lesser talent. That would be a true out of the box hire, and not likely, but why is this so complicated?

I’m going to think, “what a run, Saban was a legend. I wish he didn’t keep Golding and BoB those last 4-5 years and wreck the most talented teams Alabama has ever had.”
