All the more reason for Saban to make this final push with a better DC than freakin Golding.

Nobody disagrees with that. It's the "or Saban should go" bit that's stupid.

exactly

I don't think anybody has suggested they want Golding to return. I certainly don't want him to. But it's goofy to prefer Saban to be replace if he does keep Golding, and several posters here have said they would prefer that. I figured some might have decided it would be silly after witnessing this stellar recruiting class, but I guess that morons gonna moron.

As another guy posted on another board, Kelly was Associate Defensive Coordinator and he's going to have to be replaced. It's entirely possible that Saban might replace Kelly with a guy that could actually plan and coordinate the defense, Golding move to dbs, and keep his title and his salary. All is not lost even if Golding is on the staff.

I said if both BoB and Golding are still here next year then it's proof saban had gone senile and it's time to move on. I stand by that, but I don't see BoB coming back

I think that's a done deal that he will not be back. For that matter, Golding was the DC for Kiffin and Sarkisian and we scored enough points to win nearly every game anyway.

Would be awesome if Pruitt could come back in some capacity and be the actual coordinator, but evidently that can't happen yet.

Given what happened with Henry Ruggs, it's incredibly embarrassing that Golding has seemingly suffered no punishment for his DUI. Should have been fired for cause.

It's nice to see that Bob is leaving but I see nothing that suggests Pete is packing his shite. Surely Saban still expects elite defensive results and can see how to fix it.
